Portuguese paper interviewed Costa's agent.
Paper claims he has offers from BMC, Astana, OPQS and Sky. Also Movistar. Doesn't mention GreenEdge.

According to 'De Telegraaf', Tour Down Under winner Tom-Jelte Slagter moves to Garmin for next season.
Edit: Slagter denies this and said his decision will be made clear in August.

BMC bad idea, has to work for Gilbert. Astana has Nibbles and Gasparotto plus they alreqdy signed Ten Dam and Westra. OPQS might be a good choice if he gets leadership in the Ardennes instead of Uran. Staying at Movistar, well, hes going to have to work for Valverde in Ardennes. And please, no Sky. |

I don't think so. It is great to have in your team two of the most reputable riders on this planet for a lower price than their current wager and it's surely not a waste of money, they will get a great return from them. And from results page, please remember what Frändy is, it is way better rider than Andy or Frank.

Plus haven't they stolen Intxausti as well? Costa gets to ride the Canadian PT races anyway

LOL like Costa would be contend with being a sidekick to Froome in the tour...
Even him being a "helper" now still has more freedom on his current team then he would ever have on Sky. |

I'm pretty sure he'll go to BMC. They have tons of money and their leaders are all disappointing.
Problem is he'll probably be disappointing too if he goes there, considering the team's pre-historic methods.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid too. I haven't seen a solid performance from a BMC rider this season except from Frank in Suisse and Austria and van Garderen in California. In my opinion Costa should stay in Movistar, he's a great domestique, has freedom, and can lead the team in several races too. |

I agree with staying at Movistar too. He could probably lead the Giro if he wanted too if Quintana or Valverde dont want to race there, and he'll get to lead the secondary PT classics that Valverde doesn't go to, plus leading at other PT stage races, like Suisse, possibly PN or TA, and races like that.
What about Garmin or Trek? Those teams could be good fits.

Haven't made offers.
There's a new offer from Katusha though

Thats a bit of a sideways move though. Purito is definitely better than him and Moreno is arguably better as well, atleast at climbing. I guess Katusha could offer more than Movistar can and money is always nice.

But Moreno and Rodriguez will always ride together so that should give them some opportunities. Wouldn't be good for Spilak though |
