Sorry for the wheels issue all, I haven't got the final copy of the DB and as a result the wheels aren't working except on TT's. I'll hope to get this fixed before the next stage.
Potentially a difficult day, but one which should be for the sprinters even so. There's a short climb just 5km from the finish which average 7.2% for about 800m. This could be used as a springboard for an attack, but will at the very least make it hard for the sprinters, there will surely be questions as to who will keep the legs for a sprint after this climb!
Wilkinson(Axa) and Haller(RBM) are the first guys to make an attack this morning.
They're joined by A.Dowsett(ITV) and B-J Lindeman(ING) to make the BotD. The temperature is 33degrees so it'll be a hard day for them
Brit Wilkinson takes the first of the sprint primes at the 128km mark, just ahead of countryman Dowsett. Austrian Haller manages to pick up the third place and 2points.
Despite still having 120km to ride, the two teams with most to lose are already at the front, TCW and I-OJ are marshalling the pace early on, with 3 riders apiece. The gap is 3'50.
Lindemann takes the first of the days 2 Cat4 climbs, ahead of Ian Wilkinson. RedBull's Haller picks up the final point for the 3rd place
Just a few kilometres later at the second sprint, Lindemann just edges it in the last metres. The lead has begun to shrink, and is back under 6'30 with 88km to go. Surprisingly the wind is holding off despite the coastal route.
Much to the disgust of Wilkinson and his AxA team, Lindeman is adjudged to have beaten Wilkinson at the final KotM sprint. Dowsett takes the 3rd place, meaning ING will claim the KotM after Day2 here in Malaysia (4'31", 62.7km)
With 30.7km the riders hit the last real difficulty of the day and the break is back in sight, the gap is officially 2'07 but In-n-Out have a good grip on the peloton for Sagan.
20km... The break is all but doomed with just 51" the gap, Wilkinson and Haller give it a last attempt to hold off through a late attack.
15km... The pace seems to be dropping a bit as the teams form trains and our two leaders Dowsett and Lindeman have more than a minute gap, can they hang on?
11km and just Dowsett remains, however the pace has cracked up the trains as they floundered to catch the breakaway and there's no real organisation at this point, his gap? 35"
Valiant effort but he has to throw in the towel at 9km. there seem to be 3 teams in the mix today, Sony-Ericsson(Bos), In-n-Out(Sagan) and TCW(Impey).
5300m... As suspected pre-race the small climb has tried the legs of some sprinters, both Bos and Impey have lost there place, will they get back in time to challenge?
3600m... Yes they're back and we have 3 distinct trains now. Left-Geslin,Gallopin, Sagan, Kruopis(Fastweb),Pelucchi(Bulgari)
Middle-Ljungblad,Fernandez,Bos, Forster(magners),Hinault(Tap)
Right-Cummings,Dempster,Impey,Haedo(Globant)
1000m... Its looking like Bos vs Sagan with Bos better placed. He has Sagan slightly boxed in but both are yet to kick themselves. The TCW train has faded in the last 500m leaving Impey all to do if he wants to get anything today, meanwhile Van de Valde of CSC is beginning to feel the effects of an early sprint and has started to fade...
600m... Bos has just kicked and moves round the outside of his leadout man, meahwhile both Hinault and Forster are coming strongly on the right hand side and still the CSC leader is hanging in there, he may take a top5 at this rate. Sagan is trapped and it looks like he has to much still to do with just a few metres left!
300m... He left it late but now hes got a gap and he's flying! Kruopis is coming around with him but it's Bos vs Sagan now!
Domination by the Slovak in the last 1/2Kilometre! Bos claims second place, and Kruopis just edges out the Argentinian Richéze for the final podium place.
His sprint today provides the relevant bonus seconds and Sagan moves into the GC lead. If he's as dominant in the next few stages he could build up enough of a lead to keep the jersey through the highlands!
The days second KotM climb may have been a controversial decision, but B-J Lindeman was definitely strongest on the first climb, and he can be pleased to give his team the first KotM jersey of the Tour de Langkawi.

Not a bad finish for Impey in the end

I'm happy.
Lindeman takes the KoM jersey, while Van Dijk gets a Top 10.
Not bad, if I look at the startlist.

Firstly, i believe i've now updated the rankings properly (added in the bits of Oman i had lost), but will wait a bit before posting them
Secondly, tried Omloop again... This time froze as soon as the 3D appeared and killed all motivation for today
No idea why its having such issues... No problems with any other time i've used PCM recently...

Maybe lowering the graphics helps?
I don't care as much about the graphics as I care about Omloop itself right now
