Okay Makes sense
Who decides what a contract a rider wants? I guess you based on the results?
One last thing i couldnt find something about what money is used and how do I know how much I have?
Contract Wage:
Each rider will have a price they want, a price they will accept, and a price they will hate.
I will send out a list of riders who need renewing.
You put a wage next to the riders you want to renew.
If its equal to, or higher than the Want wage they will resign.
If its above the Accept and below the Want, they will negotiate a bit
If its below the Accept and above the Hate, they will negotiate alot
If its below the Hate, they will walk away and leave the team.
These wages will be based upon results, team ranking, individual ranking, nationality and other riders on the team.
There will be three rounds of negotiation. I will offer up clues as to how close you are in negotiation.
(yes this is almost a direct rip from the man-game)
All contracts are Three years.
Money is used for Scouting, partly renewals, buying draft picks, partly training.
Money = Points exactly (for convenience) except is represented in £
Starting budgets have not yet been decided, but will be posted very shortly. As CT team it will be less than the WT teams

Seems very much fun, nice job
So for example if Boonen races in a (semi) Belgian team, with guys like Vansummeren, Nuyens and Boom, the wage he wants will be lower, since team nationality, got many guys with his language and plenty of (cobbled) support.
Am i right?

Mostly.
Less because of Belgian. Less because of support.
More because of potential other leaders/in house threats

Is this final? Why can' t we renew the contract for 1 or 2 years? It would make snse with the older riders. |

Yeah. I wouldn't for example extend Boonen's contract if I have to extend it 3 years. At 2 years I will try and at 1 year I do everything I can
Btw what happens first, the declining or renewing the contract?
I remember that you posted it somewhere(a post with every off-season step) but not surr where...
Maybe you should put the renewal rules and the 'offseason steps' in the post where the other rules are

Hmm... Doesn't sound as it's going to change
Stats first seems better IMO, so I'm happy about that

Well.. then I can already announce that Petacchi will be free after this season
@TMM Magners has Gavazzi in their team, who was replaced with M. Garcia I think. |

Okay, no problem, will have to live with that I guess. Hmm... Depends on his first decline if I'm going to renew Boonen.
@TMM I wonder, since (for example) Boonen has a big chance of declining in the three(including this season 4) seasons that he will race for my team if I renew, will he ask for less money than if he would be age 28?
And thanks for updating the rules

Age will have an impact.
But in Boonens case its different. Any impact age has is wiped clean out by his Average, the fact he is the best cobbler and his guaranteed results.

These rules seem harsh and will surely have an impact on the next season transfers/draft, as we may see big names on the market. With this in mind however, it would be nice if the younger riders would develop fairly quickly, so they can take the places of the declining riders, thus having a greater value. |

Yeah, the focus will now also be on young riders.
If you look at it that way, the idea is pretty good. And you have influence about the development of your young riders of course, since you can give them your 'manager points' if you want.
@TMM What happens with the other (non-drafted) riders?
I think they should develop and decline too, for example if another team joins or if a team really wants a rider that isn't chosen yet.
What about:
- Age 17 - 25 + 1 in every stat per year
- Age 25 - 30 No changes
- Age 31 - 35 - 1 in every stat per year
- Age 36+ -2 in every stat per year(and eventually retire)
If it's too fast, you can also do for example Age 21-25 + 0,5 in every stat per year(so then you +1 them in everything at Age 23 and Age 25)

Nothing at all. Too complicated for this simple game (at least for a season or two)
