Wow, great play from the Dutch, if they keep playing like this they might just justify my sentimental pick for them winning/ That being said I would love to see ROmania go through. Mutu looked heart-broken after Buffon saved his PK. Should be interesting.

What an absolute joke that ref was in the Italy - Romania game. They won that game 2-1, and should have 3 points going into their last game. I think they would have lost the Holland game but 2 bs offside decisions, and then the joke of a penalty. I like what Toni said about the penalty. "If that was a penalty, then teams would get 5 penaltys a game. " What a joke, i guess i can only hope the Dutch don't lose to Romania. And Italy wins.

Spain will beat Romania in the semi final anyway, against France or Italy they (Spain) will have a harder match. I think its prety much the same for the Ntherlands if they meet Spain, Italy or France in the semifinals.

it seems, suddenly, everything van Basten touches changes in gold
After Kuyt scored, he switched him for van Persie who scored. Robben came in, and scored, and Sneijder makes the knock-out making an imporssible goal, van Basten style
If the Dutch weren't favourite for the title already after Italy, they certainly are now! |

Still im wonderin whether its that the Dutch are so strong or that Italy and France are so overrated. Still im hoping that France'll go trough
Dwight K. Schrute: 'I'm not a hero. Im just a mere defender of the office. You know who is a hero? Hiro from Heroes. That's a hero. And Bono'.

I am from Norway, and because of the referee team in that match was norwegian this have been talked a lot about. The offside desicion against Italy is bad judged, but you see that Toni stands still, and the romanian defender runs fast forward, and the side referee is not right placed so it is very hard for him to see. But yes I agree, a very bad desicion.
But the side referees in this team are not of the best, but the referee is good. You say what a joke the penalty kick Romania got against Italy was. But take a look again, it is penalty after the referees book, the penalty desicion is amazingly seen, and it takes guts to award a penalty kick against Italy. So the referee is brilliant, but the side referees is not in the same standard as him. But I hopes he get one more game anyway |

Dutch are played another great game...but I still have why questions? Defence doesnt look stabile (like Portugal)...also I dont have seen they play..when they are under pressure..I mean chase situation.
But great team with amazing midfield and strikers. Mostly how they play together..I like the team. |

@qetoo: referees are just humans, their eyes cant see everything. they make mistakes and we'll have to deal with it. it's part of the game.
@guido: yea, it's mostly the attacker and van der Sar who drive the team. but as long as they stand, it's a team that'll be hard to beat. |

@Guido: Good thing there are no strong defending teams. I haven't seen 1 flawless defence so far!
Final will be Portugal - Holland 3-4 score |

If France gonna play against Italy like they started second half against Netherland..Italy has no chanche.
van Nistelrooy play was great yesterday..reminded me older Bergkamp. I have faster forwards in the team..just standing on the correct place in perfect time time..and opens the game for others...and that head ball. Great striker |

@mrlol: A big ??
Yea I know, that was the reason I posted that the referee was brilliant, that the side reffere did stand in a bad position and could not see if it was a offside perfectly, and I also said I thought they were good enough to judge one more game.

Don't forget that the German ref's made some mistakes in the Holland-France game, such as the handball that was never called, that would have given France a penalty. Ref's are only human. |

France goal was offside, so there's no reason to complain really.
France had plenty of chances, even without a penalty. They didn't take their chances. Then you don't deserve to win either |

that was NO hands ball. Ooier was streching his arm to break his fall, when the ball was shot at him. it wasn't hands on purpose. well seen by the ref there, not by you. |

Ooijer had no time to react so that was clearly a good decision by the ref.

The starting eleven for Sweden:
Isaksson
Stoor - Mellberg - Hansson - Nilsson
Andersson
Elmander - Svensson - Ljungberg
Zlatan - Henke
I miss Sebastian Larsson in this line-up, but I hope Lagerbäck knows what he does |

I don't know, the ball was going in without a doubt and then was stopped by a defenders hand if it had been deliberate it would have been a red card, i reckon it still should have been a penalty

I really think he had no intention to position his hand in front of the ball. I think it was a reaction. He was falling and he was positioning his hand to break his fall. So i think the ref was right.
