Don't want to ruin your day but its still far off
Taking a lot of time to realize this project but i am confident it will be worth the wait. Without the pressure from a publisher we have all the time needed to create something great that every cycling fan will enjoy.
When the time is right i will show the game and our vision for the future of cycling games
For now people have PCM14 to enjoy and to be quite frank i think it looks pretty good

Certainly with this amount of active dialogue between devs and fans i think we can finally make a memorable manager experience. |

Which is part of the reason I wanted to get onboard.
As far as a playable copy; I wouldn't say you guys won't see one for a while. But don't worry; half the battle is making anything happen.

Updated timeframe for important events::
- Studio website and forum, launch in Q3 2014
- Game Reveal, Screenshots, Features etc. in Q4 2014
- Kickstarter Campaign to gain release funding, launch in 2015
The above events are subject to change but for now the game reveal and website is scheduled for later this year.
mrDahl (our Web developer) is doing some fundamental changes to the website in order to make it work on all devices. In addition he will be doing some more work on the forums.
Meanwhile me and NTTHRASH are building the manager game day by day. Might be a while before we have more to share but rest assured that progress is being made

So, basically I'm studying Computer Science and specializing in Software Engineering, probably finishing next year. Since I want to study something related to video games and I don't have much experience I thought I should give this a go rather than go and work developing websites.
I want to thank T-Photon for the opportunity and I'll try to do my best to become efficient as soon as possible. |

I would like to explain the slow progress on the website development, the last couple of weeks, so that you guys know exactly whats going on
SET BACK 1: We decided, early in the progress, that we would avoid to many templates and therefore build the whole studio website from scratch in pure ASP.NET. It was also the dream to build the forum from scratch in ASP.NET but we realised that it took way to much time. So we decided to use a ASP.NET forum template, Nearforums, but it was lacking some of the features we wanted to include in our forum and therefore we needed to modify the code.
SET BACK 2: As I am the solo developer (at the moment) on the website/forum, it does take some more time to finish features and other material on the web. Furthermore i've had all my exams and other personal stuff to think about in the last couple of weeks.
SET BACK 3: Responsive Web Design; For those who dont know, it's a way to program websites so that the content looks awsome in any screen resolution. I did not know of this until some weeks ago, so I need to reconstruct the web code so that it fits the grid
BUT! but but but guys, its not all bad! From the 26th of june until the 1st of september, I have summer vacation from the university. So you should expect alot of, improvements, news, pictures etc. maybe even a release, in that period of time
There you go, thats some insight in the web-part of this creative and fun project.
Stay cool everybodaay!
- MrDahl

So with the release of PCM14 i want to discuss what other release windows you guys like
If you could make the decision and decide when on the year the alternative cycling game would be released which of following timeframes would you prefer and why?
a) March
b) May during the Giro
c) June/July right before TDF
d) August right before Vuelta
Looking forward to hearing your opinions

Personally I'd say March, because it's close to the start of the season, it's late enough in the season that any late signings can be included, it's not too close to PCM's release date.

I like the idea of releasing the game ahead of the Giro in time for the Grand Tour season. It will still be relatively new for when the TDF rolls around, and I feel like the Giro is growing in popularity every year.
Also releasing before PCM in the year is probably a good strategy. As it will be the "best available" cycling game at the time.

Personally March, but if you want to sell most, June/July. Most exposure with the Tour coming up. |

Some great thoughts, personally i feel it would be kind of a waste to launch right along side PCM, i know its the "best option" for sales but tbh if i wanted to become rich i would not be making cycling games
