Article in the Philadelphia Inquirer about the race:
On the hottest day in the city this year, the 24th annual Philadelphia International Cycling Championship ended with its slowest winning time ever but also with the event's closest finish.
With the temperature hovering around 94 degrees - and rising to a blistering 124 on the pavement - Matti Breschel of Denmark won the race. Breschel entered the stretch run vying with a pack of competitors before nosing out American Kirk O'Bee.
The winner's time of 6 hours, 14 minutes, 47 seconds over the 156-mile course was the slowest in the race's history, up from the previous worst of 6:13:53 in 2006.
This did not factor in the humidity which was around 90% on Saturday, so the heat index was around 100 degrees, in the shade.

Lars Boom has won the opening stage of the Circuito Montañes. That's one of the most important Elite and U23 races in Spain, Gesink won it in 2006 and Mollema in 2007. So you get the idea what type of race it is

The Nature Valley Grand Prix started yesterday. Torrential rains and a carshed race official moto cancelled the mens cirt.
In the womens race I gather that Kristin Armstrong won having alpped the field with brooke miller.
My coach is there guest manageing the womens Webcor team. I ahd to drive her to the airport at 3:30 in the morning a few days ago.

Nature Valley Grand Prix ended today. Last I heard Rory Sutherland was in yellow. Velonews has nothing so far. I assume Sutherland held on because the last stage was a crit.
In the womens race former world TT champ Kristin Armstrong was a one women wrecking crew. In yesterdays road race Katheryn Currie did a long solo breakaway. WHy do I care, because my coach was driving the team car for Currie's Webcor squad. I just gothome from the airport having picked up my coach. It was totally worth the drive to San Francisco because Currie flew with my coach.
You can always spot a pro cyclist at the airport because they are the only ones walking around unassisted with helmets. Currie had hers and there was another pro with a health-net helmet. My coach introduced me to Roman Kilun. It was cool.

Boom won the time trial in the circuito montanes, Klimov remains leader.
It's the race Gesink won 2 years ago. Klimov looks in good shape to win it btw, maybe Van Garderen (yes, an american ) can still win it though.

The prologue of the Ster Elektrokoer, probably the most important Dutch stagerace behind the Olympia's Tour, is being held right now.

Hard stage in Limburg with finish on the Cauberg, sort of a mini AGR.
What happened? ...Breschel won but before everyone gets excited. Brown was in the first group too.. Fucking weird, Brown in a hard hilly stage better than Boonen

wait, you think this actually supports your insane argument that Breschel is somehow an amazing sprinter?
