And at quite a fast pace, too!
Well Im trying to get to a point where I can decide if I will continue on PCM 14 or not, if I do decide to continue with this team

Have the similar dilemma. First world problems!
Great recent results, but Sochi GC could indeed be a bit better for Sparta. Still, great for a Czech team (I won't say small one, as you made it one of most competitive CT teams actually)!

@ Admir - Yeah I'd always planned to continue this one, like lots of guys used to do with their legendary stories like Nerz, Dark Dog and Garmin, but after I took my long break I kind of thought I'd not get PCM14 and or get it and do something else. I've always liked the idea of a historical story. Thanks, indeed we aren't small anymore
@ baia - Yeah Thanks for the welcome back (atleast to the story section)
@ Vali - Its great to see one of my best followers back! Thanks!
@ user12345 - Thanks, I am as well. One coming up is 2.1 so there will be more opportunity for points if we can get the results!

Grand Prix Herning (1.2)
April 20th, 2014
Flat. Classic. I think that description does the race justice.
A plethora of Conti level sprinters are here. Nesveda is our guy, but not in top shape, nor is Kopecky our only other real hope.
Skipping all the way to the final 5km now. No other team wanted to chase down the sprint, so we had to, and that killed off pretty much all of our riders, except Kopecky and Nesveda. The break was caught after a very scary period where it looked like they would stay clear, and Kopecky leads Nesveda around the final corner!
Unfortunately, starting at the front, we only moved back, as a few sprinters soon went around our guys.
Thankfully Nesveda could hold onto a 4th, but the others just had better leadouts and Mugerli was the fastest of them all!
The end of this race will give the team a short week break before we head to the start of May where we will have 3 races on one day in some cases.
1 | Matej Mugerli | Adria Mobil | 4h26'55 | 2 | Tom Van Asbroeck | Team Øster Hus - Ridley | s.t. | 3 | Benjamin Le Montagner | Bretagne - Séché Environnement | s.t. | 4 | Jirà Nesveda | AC Sparta Praha | s.t. | 5 | Andriy Vasylyuk | Kolss Cycling Team | s.t. | 6 | Nikola Aistrup | Concordia Forsikring - Riwal | s.t. | 7 | Timothy Dupont | EPM - Une | s.t. | 8 | Rick Zabel | Rabobank Development Team | s.t. | 9 | Andris Smirnovs | Doltcini - Flanders | s.t. | 10 | Marc Hester Hansen | Christina Watches - Onfone | s.t. |

*Note to all.
The last page some of the images dont show anymore. Thats because I deleted them using Greenshot. I thought I was just getting rid of them in the program, I've now learned I just want to clear the history for the imgur uploader.
Also, I have decided to withdraw from:
Memorial of Oleg Dyachenko
GP of Moscow
5 Rings of Moscow (5 Stages)
Just because that is way too many races that I want to report at one time and it would just be a nightmare to report.

Nesveda did well to grab 4th place considering he wasn't in top shape |

Greetings here again, good to see this story still going, I came back to visit and this surprise me in a good way
I had a lot of other interests (especially in strategy games) so I'm not following real or fictional cycling through whole year. I'm mostly active at Giro-TDF-Vuelta, this is time when you can see me here too
You did great job with a team, and your new signings are well picked, happy to see.
Yep, thats me down here...

A solid 4th place from Nesveda in Denmark
And it's probably the right decision to skip a few races, 3 on a day are just too much |

@ Sutty - Yeah. Its been nice to see my riders doing pretty well despite their poor form.
@ pavuk - Glad to hear! I usually have the most interest in Cycling from about the Classics season until Lombardia but for story writing I think I have the most motivation during the summer. The winter months the off-season, irl team changes and North American sports take up more of my interest.
@ Vali - Yeah. I would have had 3 stage races going on at once, so pretty hard to compress a couple stages into one report, and several classics as well. Reckon it would be hard to follow everything too.

Mayor Cup (1.2)
May 1st, 2014
Flat classic here in Russia. Some typical foes collide here, Ershov, Lovassy, Hanson, Hoelgaard and Kankovsky. We will hope for Nesveda to be our guy today, but he may have trouble getting onto the podium!
Today the breakaway really did shake up the tactics of the stage. They made themselves very hard to get caught and actually the peloton was split up very badly because of the chase that Kopecky put on.
In fact, Kopecky made a gap to the peloton and he just kept going, with the chance of catching the breakaway with 5km left. It looked unlikely that the peloton could bridge the gap so Kopecky`s move looked great for the team. The peloton for a brief moment gave up the chase entirely, but then the sprint teams formed their trains, including our own, in case our man up the road should fail!
The sprint starts just as Kopecky moves into first place on the road and looks likely to win out of the break, but it is not a guarantee so his teammates go full blast behind him. Then something crazy happens...
Kopecky drops speed quickly, but Nesveda gladly passes him ensuring that Sparta Praha get their stage win! Kopecky and Krotky behind both claim the other spots of the podium as all the other sprinters basically had no acceleration left. We get our first ever triple! What a day! Nesveda feels bad about passing Kopecky, but we just never would have thought they would all stay clear.

Maybe, but I think we'll be okay without them still. It was really just the AI that messed up.

So its been over a week since I last updated. I guess Im not as motivated for this as I was 2 weeks ago.
The main reason for this is the difficulty. Im just finding it too easy. At the same time, my team is still way off the PCT Division in the rankings, so its as if I'd have to play even better and get even better results still to be able to reach my goal. The problem is that these two things conflict.
Also I worked every day last week so I was just way too busy to watch the Giro, keep a social life and work on top of that, as well as playing PCM.
Finally Im kinda brainstorming ideas for a future story. PCM13/14 depending on initial thoughts of when the new game comes out.
We'll see if this comes back, but if it doesn't I hope everyone enjoyed this as much as I did. It was probably my most enjoyable story I've ever written.
