That's interesting news. And Bruno Senna is also without a team now.
Any rumours on who'll pick up Button - if any? |

No rumours about Button yet.
Saw what I quoted from Bourdais on the former page ? There'd not be 3 drivers for two seats at Toro Rosso but five (I'd say four now) : Bourdais, Buemi, Sato, then Barrichello and Senna.
Senna was close to Berger, but since Berger sold his shares I'd say there are little chances for him now. Barrichello was in advanced termes last week, but won't be present in Jerez next week, so I consider his chances over as well. Buemi, Bourdais and Sato will be there, so they're still in the race for the two seats (Buemi is 99% certain).
But maybe Button can be counted in...
Honda could be bought by Petrobas (powerful Brazilian sponsor) who would sign Senna, whereas the team would get Ferrari's client engine (there's one licence left for it since Force India will use a Mercedes now). |

I'm restricting my discussion to talented drivers.
Not to mention I hate that guy.
He keeps complaining that he "wishes he didn't have that name as it's a curse not a blessing".
BULLSHIT. He doesn't have that name. He insists everyone calls him "Senna" and gets pissed when someone doesn't, even though that name is nowhere to be found on his ID card or passport.
He insists because he knows it's the only way for him to have a career since he obviously doesn't have talent.
Same as with Nélson Sottomayor "Piquet".
I guess I'll just call myself "Schumacher" and forge a career out of it. Oh wait, I actually might have more talent than those two leeches. And much less of an attitude.....

Well, Senna didn't drive that much in competition yet, so he's decently talented, but it'd be a shame that he'd reach F1 that soon. A second year in GP2 would be a minimum to judge his talent...
Those "sons of dad" are annoying. I read that Nicolas Prost wants to test a F1 one of these days too. He won a championship that except for Massa was always won by nobodies and he beated nobody there, he's very average in A1GP.
They should create a championship for those dudes and one for actually talented drivers... |

You want someone really horrible? Matthias Lauda. "Awful" doesn't begin to describe him. |

Oh yeah, it seems that in paddocks he's considered to be the worst "son of" ever in terms of driving talent.
Nicolas Prost is mocked as being the second one in that classification, but that's a bit harsch in my opinion.
The Andretti family is also remarkable in terms of talent loss : Mario was great, Michael was good (not in F1 though ), whereas Marco is quite reckless and not that fast. |

Aquarius, in a related subject, I think you can relate to this:
The kind of idiot out there is just.....WOW. Amazing.
This guy I actually held in decent regard as a rational person just completely shattered that whole perception.
Get this, the guy says that "Toca Race Driver" is extremely realistic.....and that real simulations such as LFS, iRacing, and to an extent, rFactor and GTR2 are "crap, real cars don't behave like that. If I got into one of those cars, I'd control it no problem, those games are stupid and unrealistic"
Just....wow.
Then he goes on to compare the traction control in his SEAT to the one in an F1 car.....to which I explained to him what exactly traction control does....to which he replies "If that were true, no car with traction control would ever crash"
I'm a former youth categories kart driver, and humility aside I was pretty damn good when I raced, yet he somehow thinks I have no idea what I'm talking about. WHAT THE HELL.
How do these idiots appear on earth? Are they magically spawned? JESUS.
Worst of all, he has a G25 that he uses....for TOCA race driver....
that's like buying a top notch 3D virtual reality simulator from the year 2150....and use it to play FIFA94 and call it a "supremely realistic depiction of football"....
I am right now in the definition of the word "Livid".....I'm stumped. Completely. It's....WOW. I....wow....

Ah well, there are morons all over the web. I'm a bit like you, I tend to convince and bring them on the good side because they're blatantly wrong, but in the end I hardly get success there.
In the end I realised that it doesn't matter that much.
People with common sense will read the discussion and make their own mind, it's more important to convince crowds than one single idiot that's too foolish to change his mind anyway.
As for 3d things, I have a powerful graphic card but still enjoy playing the very first PC games I ever played (after a 12 years break I managed to finish Indianapolis 500, released in 1990 ). |

Might as well talk about the Race of Champions here, if anyone else is watching it:
https://live.freecaster.tv/roc/
Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Jenson Button, Andy Priaulx, David Coulthard. Sebastien Loeb, Tom Kirstensen, and Mattias Ekstrom are amongst those taking part. |
