Five riders have finally broken the resistance of the peleton and opened up a small gap, they are Fernandez/Onda, Laengen/Team Type 1, Eidsheim/Team Oster Hus, Le Bon/Bretagne Schuller and Diaz/Team Exergy

The French teams are leading the bunch, making sure the break doesn't get too good of an advantage

Fernandez/Onda has left the relative safety of the breakaway group and decided to go from a long way out for a solo victory

He is still riding at a nice steady pace and is now the only one up the road as his fellow escapees were caught about five kilometre a go

He is now beginning to pedal squares as the lead he had is now down below a minute

The pack take there chance for a breather on the final downhill section of the race

Jerome/Europcar forces along the pace at the front

Roubaix Lille Metropole are powering along with one kilometre to go, this could be anybody's race

Dumoulin of Cofidis proves that he is the fastest by taking the sprint with ease in the end

Not a bad performance from the guys today, we had Vegard Stake Laengen in the break of the day where he did extremely well and ended up with six of our eight riders in the first group across the line with Efimkin finishing a nice twentieth place

Four riders attacked just after eight kilometres of the race had been covered and have been allowed to have their moment at the front of the race, they are Durasek of Adria Mobil, Oyola Oyola of EPM UNE, Sebiso of LA Antarte and George Preidler of Team Type 1

They have established a lead of over six minutes and are working very well together

The harmony in the break has been shattered by an attack from Sebiso of LA Antarte. He was later followed by Durasek of Adria Mobil and together they have opened a gap of 3m 19s on there fellow escapees who seem resigned to going back into the bunch

With Endura Racing doing the pulling on the front of the bunch the gap has been reduced to under three minutes

The two leaders seem to be holding the peleton at bay for the time being, but race radio has just confirmed that virtually all of the Endura team are on the front of the bunch

Endura have really put the hammer down now and have pegged back the advantage to under one and a half minutes

Its almost over for our two leaders as the pack has timed its chase to perfection

And here goes the mad dash for the line

And its Ian Wilkinson who crosses the line first for a Great one two for Endura Racing

That was a Good result for Jure considering he doesn't have that good fitness at the moment, he was looked after by the other guys very well in the closing kilometres, so a very good day all round

The first rider to come home in a reasonable time was Andrew Tennant of Rapha Condor

But he was soon matched by Ricardo Vilela of Efapel-Glassdrive who recorded a time of 4m 40s for the 3.7km course

Joe Eldridge had a torrid day and would finish way down the field

Another Efapel-Glassdrive rider Sergio Sousa would soon put in the best time of the day 0f 4m 36s

Nathan Brown of Bontrager Livestrong would then better the time by three seconds

Reidar Borgersen of Joker-Merida would fall short

As would Bowden of Team Type 1

And Huub Duyn of Cyclingteam De Rijke

Then came the fastest time of the day so far set by Hugo Sabido of LA - Antarte who rode round the short course in 4m 23s

I was the last of our team out on the course and so i knew what i had to aim for. The team mechanic surprised me by putting a Welsh dragon disc wheel on my rear to try and help me on my way, but would it work
