It is. And don't say you are not patriotic. Belgians are even worse.

Just look at their reactions on Boom and Groenendaal the past 10 years. LOL.

Pot, Ketel. Zwart.

He didn't try to get away from nys, he saw Wellens coming. Plus you are forgetting Boom rides an entire road season. It's logical he doesn't ride 40 crosses.
And it's not that he rides nothing, he still rides about 35 crosses this year, which is only 3/4 crosses less than Nys...

no he doesnt, he doesnt ride a full road season, he picks some races off Smile
and he doesnt ride 3-4 less than Nys, more like 10-15 less, (those 3 weeks at Lanzarote are already 6 races (3x2))
And in 50% of the ones that he does start he rides it as 'training' or stops giving 100% after 3 laps because "the surface doesnt suit him"
bah Pfft

I suggest you go learning math

1) www.larsboom.nl go to races, and count yourself, that's 35 crosses.
2) He was 2 weeks at Lanzarote, not 3. Dunno were you invent that extra week. But he was sick the 2 weeks before, and not something small, but a kidney inflammation, he was scheduled to ride 4 crosses there. You can't ride them with a kidney inflammation
3) Look at his results, he didn't "ride 50% of those as training". You are blowing everything extremely out of proportion to prove your point, which you don't have, if you look at the facts

Nuff said.

Those are 34 crosses. 4 of them fell away when he was sick. Still 30 crosses

You were saying? 15 crosses less than Nys? Nys has 38 crosses planned.
So there, you better back up your words with facts the next time.

Xavier
ok if you want facts, here they are Smile

so far this season:

Ruddervoorde -> 18th = training
Aardooie -> 6th = training
Kalmthout -> 10th =training
Woerden -> 2nd
Tabor -> 9th = training
Koppenberg -> 2nd
Vechel -> 2nd
Pijnacker -> won
Niel -> won
Asper-gavere -> 7th = training
Hasselt -> lanzarote = training
Hamme zogge -> lanzarote = training
Koksijde -> lanzarote training
Gieten -> lanzarote training
Essen -> 9th = training
Overijse -> second
Scheldecross -> 9th = training
Nommay -> won

11/19=training Smile thats more than 50%

i took outside of the top 5 as training, seeing how the opposition sucks and all that ;p

Ruddervoorde -> 1st cross, no training, he tried, but wasn't good enough
Aardooie -> tried, not training, simply not good enough
Kalmthout -> Seriously tried, tired after 45 minutes, no training
Tabor -> Again, no training, world cup so very important for him, he was again good until 45/50 minutes, then not good enough, definately not training
Asper-Gavere -> How the hell do you think he was training there? :lol: He wasn't good enough on the technical aspect and lost fair and square
Hasselt -> Sick w Kidney inflammation, not Lanzarote
Hamme Zogge -> Sick, not Lanzarote
Koksijde -> Sick, not Lanzarote
Gieten -> Sick, not Lanzarote
(after that, he went to lanzarote
Essen -> No training, 1st cross after Lanzarote, fast and technical course, he was dissapointed he couldn't test his power
Scheldecross -> That, he used as training

So, what a bucket load of bullshit you just pulled out of the hat there :lol:
It's very clear to me you cannot find good arguments for this discussion, I'm only losing time here argueing with you appearently.
Now come up with something I can't counter easily please! I'll be back tomorrow Wink

This has to be easily the weakest argument of you since this discussion started.

Dude it's a fact, and obviously you have no idea how serious a kidney inflammation is. If you even start denying facts to win an argument, then you better stop right there

Stijn_vranken
on this i have to agree with Ruben. A kidney inflammation may not look like much to us , but for an athlete its a disaster.

But the fact that mortchill showed still remains true. Boom rides less cyclocrosses then like nys for example. its because of that he manages to end up in the top 5 for those corsses. The rest is too damn tired

the fect that he didn't train enough can be countered by the fact that the rest is tired.
