Argos won't really like the Grand Tour. |

With a cobbled mountain, I don't think anyone will like it... |

Mountain TTT is kindah pointless IRL though, because you don't get the streamlining effects, it just means the best climbers have to go slower and people who would normally drop back to the grupetto will be pushed way out of comfort zones in order to keep everyone together (well, at least 5)

Wait a minute, MTTT?
I think someone misunderstood something. There will be "2 ITT, 1 TTT and 1 MTT".
I don't see mountain team-timetrial here. |

That's what makes it so interesting, plus, if you keep the same course for next year, I almost want to go down! |

BIG NEWS:
The CT is going to under go a major change!
Basically its the day limit. With a large range of the numbers of riders in teams its very very hard to find a limit thats fair to all.
So there are a two options:
1) Each team gets its own race day limit
2) Races are optional (involves a calendar selection)
So if CT managers could please PM me (and only PM) their preferred choice, and any thoughts.
You can discus here, but i am unlikely to take any ideas into consideration (i will read and reply though).
Unfortunately this will delay the start of the CT season....
So Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico are provisionally brought forward. WT managers please PM me your startlists for those as well. No rider can do both races.
And the final TDU stage will go up later.
There is not MTTT, its a normal MITT.
Dont worry Argos, there are plenty of sprints.
The route will change from year to year.

Argos had a large squad...
but for teams like Accent, UHC, NetApp etc. the 50 day limit doesnt actually work. At least not to the extent i want it to.

Well, I went for many riders to give me quantity advantage. So the first option is definitely bad for me. Could you explain the second option a bit more detailed please?

Option2 is better i believe, as it gives teams a chance to play a more real season, having said that it gives you a loty of extra work

So, since the original 50 day race limit worked fine for my team, I'm allowed to race the entire calendar, or I have to cut out some races from the schedule? Just need to clarify this. |

simply put:
I would send each team a list of races they would participate in. They could then swap races, but the total days would have to equal up
eg. Team gets given Omloop, Danmark, Haut Var, and Paris-Bruxelles. Total 10 days. They could swap Omloop for Bianche, and Danmark for Algarve and Dwars Door. Still totals 10 days.

So Degenkolb can enter every race for Argos?
I think it should be the smaller the team numbers the more race days per rider.
Like under 15=70
16-20=60
21+=50 or something like that

I would personally suggest we take say 20days out of teh calendar, but then everyone races everything
