I too wasn't confident for the Euro, now they're proving it wrong. So, we never know. |

Amazing win for Rui Costa. He was the first portuguese ever to win a World Tour stage race.
Movistar must test him as a GT contender, try giving him the leadership and support just like in this Tour de Suisse, but I believe he will end up like Luis Leon Sanchez, good at the 1 week races but will struggle at the final week of the GT. |

Nah, they weren't on the Bugatti circuit. |

Yeah, but La Sarthe is pretty boring. Tertre Rouge is a cool corner, and the esses aren't bad, but the rest is pretty boring. Even indianapolis (the corner) is boring.

It's a high speed circuit, so it has the pros and the cons of that (long straights, etc.).
I like the double Indianapolis and Arnage combo, even though they've spoiled Arnage with a sandbox this year. |

It's not really about the long straights. It's the corners. They're mostly nothing corners. No fun, no challenge.

Well, that's true, but IMO it's not worst than having slightly more challenging corners with huge parking lots on the outside of small kerbs, like there is on most Tilke-dromes. At least in Le Mans, the cars that miss the corners end up in sandboxes, security rails or tires walls. |

The runoffs are there for the motorcycles, otherwise they can't race at those tracks.

Was fun seeing Costa praise Valverde like that after the race - that's a way to welcome back convicted dopers... |

Rui Costa is not a doper. He took a supplement with a forbidden substance that wasn't in the supplement's description. He was able to prove this and got a reduced sentence for the violation. He didn't take EPO or anything like that. |

Impressive riding by Costa.
Schleck seems fit, I'll wonder what he'll do at TDF! |
