Thats just plain stupid. I just don't like teams going for 1 leader, worst of all if the leader has no chance of overall.
Now I hate Sky, Cav doesn't need 3 babysitters to ride the last 200 meters. Just face it, there was absolutely no reason for them to stop. Even if Cav was badly hurt they would've been useless, they were in the last km, where useful help was at hand. Complete idiots, Sky will certainly fail this year.
I really doubt sky will fail this year because they stop for a leader when he crashes 200m from the end of the last stage |

Eisel stayed as he's a very good friend of Cav, they are like brothers. Or as Cav put it Wife and a Husband. I think Eisel would always stop and see what happened, 5th place in a 'shity' race nobody except cycling fans cares about isn't big deal. They had Flecha and he rode free, he stayed as it was his decision to stay , he didn't have to. He wanted to, as it's Eisel.

Something's telling me one day you'll really regret saying that |

What he says makes sense. They're no medic, and even if they were, they don't have bandages, or anything they could need to provide some care to a fallen rider.
So, they might as well continue.
Where he's wrong, is when he forgets to consider that when your leader has fallen and that you don't know how he is, there's something else on your mind than properly forming a 60 km/h cycling train. |

I understand Eisel is a really good friend but the whole thing just completely pissed me off, it reminded me of every time riders have given up when a win was gone plus it somehow reminded me of Armstrong in Postal and that just rubbed me the wrong way. I can understand their reasons but I just don't like it at all.
About Sky fail: let talk after le Tour when Wiggins loses a podium because of Cav.
One other thing: Cav crossed the line without a helmet, isn't that against the regulations?

He's paid to be Cavendish's babysitter, and he sure does his job very well.

He lost a 5th place. In Tour of Qatar. You're making a very big deal out of this. |

True. It`s "just" Qatar and "only" a 5th. But still. As others pointed out, there was nothing he could have done for Cav in this moment and Stannard and Hunt already waited for him. So he could have easily finished the races, which would have taken 20s, then go back to Cav, makes it another 20s but keeping the 5th.
In general I think even if Cav is the paid leader there is no reason to wait for him in the last 500m, especially not if you are better placed than him and quite decent in the overall. |

Giro della Calabria Stage 1
1.Viviani
2.Colli
3.Favili
Vivani is on fire lately.
The race has been reduced to 2 stages, and tomorrow is another flat-ish stage, so Vivani is set for overall too it looks.

Michel Kreder also takes the 3rd stage in Mediterraneen ahead of Napolitano.
Not sure yet if he attacked again like yesterday or in a real sprint. |

According to reports he won in a mass sprint. Very impressive. |

Kreder isn't actually a slow rider. He can be a good sprinter, if in a good form. |

Yeah but he (was) mainly a puncheur. However last year he was bad in hills and won a mass sprint against Bennati in sarthe
Now a late attack + a mass sprint. Strange. I wonder how he will do in hills this year |

Today we found some absolutely shocking improvements to be made in one of our riders. Who? That will be apparent soon enough.
