Really yes, a good Gesink would never finish 15th in Fleche Wallone but much higher. He is nowhere near his Basque Country form. Open your eyes |

Vino IS BACK! Seriously, how can you not love this guy?! You´ve got to admit, that not many riders have that agressive attacking style. He deserves it, and he was a clear winner today, no one can deny that.
He won in great style, and showed that he is still a great champion, with or without doping. I´ve allways been a huge fan of Vino and was hoping this day would come He really shut up a lot of people today. Let´s just hope he gets by the doping controls after the race
VINO KICKS ASS!!! |

Theres some riders who come back from their ban having acknowledged the ban - that they made a mistake, and at least give the impression that they have changed. Millar would be one such example.
And then theres others who come back where they left off, with no noticeable drop in quality, their arrogance just as high as it was previously, and generally they have spent the 2 year ban - or as is so frustratingly the case, a ban that is shorter than that - denying that they ever took drugs. Vinokourov and Ricco are prime examples.
And then theres the whole separate entity of Valverde. Who should not even be riding right now.

Vino didn't serve a two year ban if i remember rightly he weaseled his way to only having a 1 year ban so the hatred directed at him is perfectly fair |

That might be a tough task for him to do.

He just tried to avoid a 2 year ban with the rumor he would end his career, but after the 1 year ban he said that he`d like to continue racing and it was set to 2 years.
Kind of really bad behaviour. |

so he served his two years ban, which makes him eligible to take part in races like everybody else. and everybody who rides has the right to win.
correct me if I'm wrong.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

It simply highlights the inadequacies of the whole system that there are riders who return from a drugs ban, and are clearly just as doped as they were before, yet seemingly are getting away with it.

Indeed. If it was Millar, they would be cheering
But trust me, everyone except haters respect the "everyone is innocent until proven guilty" rule. |

I think i'm going to quote Lionel Birnies twitter for my response to this
Well, the ProTour teams once had a rule that dopers wouldn't be hired for four years. What happened to that particular rule?
And yes, I do know the answer to that question.

Didn't Ricco actually confess and cooperate with the authorities? Thus getting a shorter ban. |

Read my post higher up in this page. There is a distinct difference between the way Millar and Vinokourov reacted and responsed to their respective bans.
