I hope you will do better then that in the next stage!
but considering that you are in extreme... very good beagle, keep it!
I´m starting to think that biggest difference between extreme and hard level is in sum of very good daily forms (+2 and better) for key riders in important stages. When I managed Gobernacion del Zulia (hard level), there were no problem to find Rujano or Medina with +3 or even better, where mostly needed. And now? I don´t really remember, when Deignan had at least +1 daily form in mountain stage (including both stages in Jayco Herald Sun Tour - report from stage 4 is on the way) or Millar during TT.... |

Stage 4
First of two mountain stages. I should be happy today seeing Philip´s beautiful 0 daily form today.
Final climb, 12km to go. Tomasz Nose attacks, Egoi Martinez counters.
Philip Deignan in another attack wave.
Few km later, E1 Martinez, Nose
E2 Deignan, Sutherland, Devine
Devine in troubles...
...but he fights back
Deignan sets high pace in effort to chase down leading duo, now it´s Sutherland who can´t follow anymore.
Meanwhile Nose and Martinez in last km...
...and Tomasz Nose takes stage win!
Philip finishes 3rd with Devine and moves up to 3rd overall.
My very stable game crashed before export.
GC
1 Tomasz Nose 9h30'57
2 Egoi Martinez + 8
3 Philip Deignan + 47
4 John Devine + 55
5 Rory Sutherland + 1'22
6 Anthony Colby + 1'22
7 Daniel Vaillancourt + 1'22
8 Nadir Haddou + 1'22
9 Fabio Calabria + 1'22
10 Radoslav Rogina + 1'22
Stage 5 probably tomorrow or on Tuesday. |

Stage 5
This stage didn´t worked, so I had to replace it by stage from Giro 2009 finishing on Blockhaus
Unfortunately, Philip had -1 today.
Early breakaway.
45 km to go, Tanaka, Mazet, Chadwick, Mahoric and Bookwalter attack main group. Although Mahoric and Bookwalter are great climbers, due to their fall in stage 3 they are no threat for overall standings and can let go away.
They joined leading group before final brutal climb. Peloton was far behind.
Bookwlater and Mahoric are setting high tempo from foot of the climb...
13km to go, Mahoric stays alone in front!
5km to go...E1 Mahoric
E2 Bookwalter
E3 main contenders...Martinez, Nose, Jufre, Deignan, Sutherland, Devine, Axelsson, Colby, Morton and Rogina.
Egoi Martinez attacks chasing group, Nose responds...
...and then I lost my reply save Martinez and Nose gained some advantage, noone could follow. Mitja Mahoric didn´t cracked and took great win, Brent Bookwalter finished 2nd, but with same time as Nose, who attacked Martinez in last kilometer and gained some valuable seconds in GC. Deignan finished 7th with same time as Axelsson, Rogina, Morton and Devine. He kept his 3rd place overall, but 6th stage is time trial and we can´t expect miracles....

Little turning from JHST...first I must note I really looked forward to this time trial and prepared David Millar as best as I could. And expected to finish season with glorious win of course
13th Jan Ghyselinck, good performance of our young rider, + 2'13
8th Aleksejs saramotins, + 1'59
6th Cyril Bessy, + 1'53
5th David Millar...hugh disappointment (+1 form), + 1'25
4th Damien Monier, + 1'21
3th Jerome Coppel, + 1'15
2nd Anthony Roux, + 1'07
1st Benoit Vaugreanard...TT 78 (Millar has 79), he has 100 race days, so his fitness level can´t be higher then 80 and such dominance...I don´t understand

probably he was at home, so he get motivation. I know that Italian rider had bonus when riding italian race (specialy the giro) so maybe it's the same thing for french rider, and remember that you are in extreme level.

Stage 6
Short, but with some steep climbs and downhills will answer all questions, especially one: Will Tomasz Nose keep his yellow jersey? My own goal is try to loose as less as possible places in GC with Deignan.
Luke Davison sets good time and hold 1st place for long time...16th in the end, +29
11th Adam Semple, his team mate, this is good day for AIS...+ 24
Taylor Tolleson, surprisingly strong ride and fastest time so far...8th + 22
Rubens Bertogliatti, same time as Tolleson, 7th place today + 22
Diego Tamayo, 15th today + 29
Travis Meyer, another AIS member is fastest at all!!!
Brent Bookwalter, great 4th place, +16
Mitja Mahoric, winner of stage yesterday...12th + 24
Paul Mouchearud, 10th + 23
Nadir Haddou, 9th + 23
Rory Sutherland...he lost some time in mountains, but today 3rd place + 16
Radoslav Rogina, strong ride...6th + 17
Swedish veteran Niklas Axelsson has same time as Rogina...5th + 17
John Devine is fast, really fast...2nd today + 7 and move up to podium overall.
Philip Deignan (+1 today!!!!!) is not good timetrialist, but he didn´t lost too much time today and dropped only 1 place in GC, great!! 36th + 43
Egoi Martinez, 13th + 25 and must wait for Nose...
Tomasz Nose, 51th + 52...he keeps yellow jersey with only 7' advantage!!!

Can you give us the CQ final ranking and the final Pro tour ranking?
But if you have not reach top 5, 7th is good, you are in extreme mode whit not the best team ever...
I hope that you will decide to continue another season!

Would be cool to see a break down of the season and maybe career wide highlights results wise if you're up to going to the trouble. Otherwise nice story, finally not someone playing with a top 5 pro tour team on normal
Keep It Up
