As far as I can see for the 2018 DB only Castrillo and Parra are missing to complete all the riders for WT and PCT and should be in shortly

Dmitry Strakhov deserves a boost, as he is having a great season, either sprinting or climbing. I wonder how he will fare today in Asturias.

I think Egan Bernal and Simon Geschke are over-rated in time trial.

For Bernal it's a climb time trial in Tour of Romandie, for me he deserves 68 in time trial.

For Geschke i look this resultats, since 2015 he finished 2 times in top 15 in time trial. He deserves 72 in time trial

Van Garderen : down mountain, 78>77
Pinot : up recuperation compare to Landa/Bardet, 75>77
Meintjes : down recuperation, 79>77
Hirt : down recuperation because he run only Giro 2017 as course of 3 weeks , 79>75
Majka : up recuperation, 70<73
Anacona : down mountain, 77>75
George Bennett : up endurance compare to riders in 77 mountain and he is regular in course of 1 week, 69<71
Woods : down recuperation because he run only Vuelta 2017 in top 10 as Grand Tour , 77>75
Gesink : down recuperation because now he want to win stage and since 2015 he has not finish in top 10 of Grand Tour, 78>75

I don't understand why sometimes you do some random downgrades...
GVA show his skills in MON at TDF 2016, if you want to downgrade him from 72 to, how Sagan is still 70?

Jeremy and Marco: Combined all below

Bernal- The thing is he beat also other high mtn riders that also have good TT skills as well, which is why he needs a good TT based on his result. I know it feels strange giving a Colombian good TT skills..

TVG- This is a difficult one and he was actually reduced to 77 last season and then won that stage in the Giro which is why he got put back up as he beat a much higher stat rider in Landa. But I've put him to 77 mtn again, as I do think as well that would be better and to put Giro as a fav race possibly.

Meintjes, Bennett, Hirt- These riders are with high rec for the same reason. They have been able to keep with the leaders of GT's over a 3 week period and for that reason they deserve high rec. Meintjes is a difficult rider as he only deserves 78 mtn for the Tour (but of course that is the biggest race of the year) and is pretty average in other races.

Majka- Hard rider to stat as one GT he rides like a stage hunter only and then in another for the GC. His rec is not that great but where he is good is his rec between tours but that is something that we can't stat. made a note as I'll have to decide on what to do about Majka whether to keep him a stage hunter or GC man or something of a compromise which might be best in-between

Anacona- Very impressive in Giro last season and needs this to be one of the principal doms for Movistar

Bennett- I've not noticed any good results from him over 200km to warrant an increase in STA

Woods- Don't see any reason to drop his rec

Gesink- Agree and has been dropped.

Pinot-
Better to wait now for the Giro

GVA and Sagan- These are often determined by RES alterations but agree that GVA should at least be 1 point better in mtn than Sagan, so have dropped Sagan. As the idea is not to have any of these power riders much more than 71 mtn where possible because their high RES turns them into riders capable of finishing highly in the GC in big tours

Does Roglic get any increases? He seems to be improving all the time.

Yeah I agree with hill and either sprint or acc. Mtn is a difficult one because he can clearly climb well, but might not be able to deal as well with the steeper climbs. Maybe more resistance, that might be his best skill now. For recovery we probably need to see him go for a GC in a GT.

Great work with the all the stats BTW, much appreciated Smile

I think I don't see Matěj Zahálka and Jakub Otruba from Elkov - Author in the database. Please add them in.
I just noticed, aren't Michal Schlegel and František Sisr a little underrated? Schlegel rode good at Tour de Alps and Sisr won Ronde van Drenthe.

redodead- Roglic also has one of the highest RES in the game for a mtn rider which effectively may well make him better than a 78 rider. For rec we have to wait for the Tour

Agent- All CT riders are added by the team members that do those riders. CT is normally out of my domain. But I will remind them to do so.

Schelgel on 74 mtn I think looks good and most of the riders that he finished with have around the 75 to 73 mtn. It's never a good idea in some cases to overrate riders like Schlegel in these preparation races where the bigger names are still not on peak form.

Yes, you're right, I haven't noticed that the competitors around him at GC are on the same level. The same applies to Sisr, I suppose. Thank you for gradually adding CT riders. I'm looking forward to DB 2018! Sorry for my bad English.
