@Jesleyh
Looks like a nice career you have going on, hope things will turn back to normal for me too.
Winning is great and all, but hard to keep motivated...
Yes it is
I love to build up small teams and promote them
Though to win the 'challenge' with Brewers & Cunego, I have to be dominating in at least 1 race, but that's probably looooong in the future

wasn't the challenge to be the first in a GT?
Add a w before the in, and you're about right (Though I think it has to be TdF, not sure)
And it has to be a German(for Cunego and me) or French(Brewers) rider
Well, the challenge is nothing serious, just a nice goal to focus on
Gent-Wevelgem was also a great success, Coquard finishing second behind Pozzato after a great leadout by Demare. Really like the cobbled races on PCM13, they're much more open if you get your tactics right.
Next race is De Ronde though so I'm not expecting much there. Obviously the big goal is Paris Roubaix with Gaudin. The top five is definitely possible, especially because Sagan is out until June and Canc seems to have no form at all.

Very obviously, count me in. FCD with a slight potential tweak
No need to mention rider and team, I guess.
Mind you, I play fast

Of course there is, and screenshot of the team . Otherwise, it's not official!
Just look up Team Stölting
Oh, that was so predictable
Edit:
Also, fun fact from my Career:
Kwiatkowski(76MO/78HI(developed to 79 by now)/77TT) managed to win Tirreno - Adriatico(rather hilly one, but ok), Liège - Bastogne - Liège(where he wasn't really a favourite, maybe an outsider) and a (hilly) Pais Vasco.
Guess who's the leader in the WT now?
Well, guess he'll be burned out by May, and then won't score a lot more WT points

This threads made me think, that maybe we could make a challenges thread or something? I know there are challenges on Football Manager forums, so it could work here too I think. Obviously it also fits here, but it could be fun to have an actual thread where all the posts are dedicated to the challenge
I guess you could say Im doing the Equipe Garneau challenge

Maybe, yeah.
Problem is that everyone has to have the same DB for it, and it might disturb people from their nice careers
Also, Valv, join in on our challenge, but with a Canadian rider

Okay
I've done 3 races so far this year with Garneau Its now the middle of May
So far 0 results, but I had a top 11 at the Tour of Gila with Lambert-Lemay who had a good sprint finish

I had a 77 MO Mollema winning Catalunya, Pais Vasco, Romandie and Suisse in one season
All simulated as I was a Conti team btw.

OK... So Gaudin just got third in De Ronde behind Boonen and Chavanel . As I thought, Cancellara has no form and even finished behind Coquard! (who, by the way, is a beast) Two French men on the podium in a monument.
And Possoni continues to bring me 3rd & 4th GC places
He now has 5 of them
He got 3rd at Azerbeijan, 6th at Jelajah Malaysia and 4th at Tour of Japan(which is a 2.1 race, so pretty good).
I learnt that regularity is key to ride a good GC in those small .2 races with a lot of mountains. I almost never ride top 3 in the mountains, always around 5th place, but that gives me a nice GC most of the time
Also, I just rode the most awesome stage of PCM, the Tour of Japan stage 4. A 26km mountain stage up to Mt. Fuji. And yes, it's supposed to be like that, in real-life, it's even a 10km mountain stage, but they made it 26km to make it playable
Another thing,
I signed 2 neo-pro's. A climber(70MO, don't know about potential) and a sprinter(68SP, don't know about potential). Both German. Hopefully Germany's best talents, but I never have a lot luck with that
I found the climber at Giro Valle D'Aosta U23(1 of the 2 races I've added to the game) where he was decent. So I decided to sign him halfway april. Then, suddenly, a German decides to win the Ronde d'Isard mountain stage. Meh. He doesn't fit in my team anymore, I've already signed a German climber and will try to sign a more experienced one with a good TT in the transfer period.
I'm nearly sure it's the 73 climber I saw earlier(winning a mountain stage takes some nice MO
I'll keep an eye on him

I'd love to play that stage! But I can't find it in PCM... did you get it from a community pack or so? I climbed Mt. Fuji a couple years back (not on a bike though) so totally wanna play that stage! Brings memories back.
Anyway playing a CT team sounds fun I think I'll try that out for my next career.
Meanwhile I'm second from the wrong side of the rankings with IAM at the beginning of May. Only Euskaltel behind me. But OGE, Lampre and VCD are in reach.
I seriously hope I can get some points from GTs with Majka.. he'll start his season at Tour de Suisse and then TDF&Vuelta. Till now I haven't been able to get even 1 point from GCs in spring Best result was like 13th. And the classics didn't turn out that well either.. so yeah fight against relegation is on!

Yes, it's in the French Community DB.
But here's the Mt.Fuji stage, I uploaded it for you https://www.mediaf...nstage.rar
Just replace it for a TdF stage in CM_Stages or so to play it. (Or call them top_tdf_01_Mt-Fuji, so you won't overwrite the file but you can play it as a variant in the stage-race mode )
Battles against relegation are always fun. Especially if you win the battle

Sounds good Cio, I'd like that IRL
Is that an other career or the career that you're playing with now?
If latter, then you're going very fast
Nah, that was another one.
I'm in August now with one stage race left. The huge amount of races made it basically impossible to promote, so I have reinforced my team and will try to go PCT after next season.
Steigmiller was signed pre-season, new signings for 2014 are
Selig
Sütterlin
Thurau
Koch
Bissinger
and a neo-pro with 72 mo
Going to have a lean roster of 16 to finally split sprinters and stage racers, I played all 2013 races with the same 8 riders
Herklotz is up to 74MO, development speed is 0.3 btw.
Oh and Cav didn't win a single stage in the Tour
Second to Sagan, Greipel, Kittel, Goss AND Degenkolb...

Uh-oh, bad news
I'm just before the NCs now.
I think you participated in less races than me though. I simulated whole June now, since both long stage-races had only a few teams participating, that's just not fun. I still race waay more than I simulate though.
The simulation resulted in: GC win -> Tour of Serbia, and 2nd GC -> Tour of Singkarak. I think Admir is fan of my team now, since I won his home race
I've got some signings on my mind. I decided I will sign 5 riders and not extend the contract of 2(from 3) of my riders. I already signed 2 neo-pro's.
I'll reveal the signings soon, since I only have races in late-July, and only NCs left until the signings.
All the signings on my mind are German, but 1. 1 is Danish.
Oh, and will Herklotz develop in a climber or a puncher?
Edited by Jesleyh on 01-08-2013 15:59
Oh, and can anyone tell me WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE COBBLES IN TOUR D'ALSACE STAGE 2???!!!
Simulated and lost 3 minutes I never made up with Herklotz...
