If they fail miserably then they will probably not show anything afterwards, just accounce the WC was cancelled because USA bombed South Africa.
Kazakhstan did that with Vino in the Tour - when he was caught doping, they just stopped broadcasting and pretended he had never been caught.

When I understood it correctly, they wanted to buy the rights. But then a submarine boat from South Korea sunk and in their opinion it was shot by North Korea. That`s why South Korea stopped the deal.
But guess you are right. Even if the deal had been finished, they would end it after the first loss. |

Please, pppllllllleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssssssssssseeeeeeeeeee, stop with the vuvuzelas.
I'm even past it being the most annoying sound ever made. Mid-afternoon, i'm in my living room watching the match and I find myself yelling at the people that are watching it with me just so they can hear me. And the TV's volume is not even that high. Reporters, players, managers. They have come out to say how difficult it is to communicate on the pitch with the vuvuzelas moaning on the crowd. Even the intercoms the refs have will be obsolete come the WC
Edit: Perfect example of how it ruins the game. Portugal just scored and the crowds reaction was completely buffered by the vuvuzelas. If it wasn't for the commentary I wouldn't have even known there had been a goal as I wasn't looking at the TV at that moment. Best part of the entertainment for me, the crowd's reaction to a goal, completely annihilated.

I've watched 100's of local SA matches on TV and never had an issue with them, so I am unsure why everyone finds them so annoying unless the South African broadcaster knows a secret which no one else does,

Well about the vuvuzelas I don't really have an idea of how loud the noise is, but the broadcast is really anoying with the same backround noise troughout all the match.
I thought it would probably bring an interesting typical South African atmosfere for the World Cup with some groups of locals cheering with it, but with everyone playing their vuvuzelas it isn't a nice situation anymore. Besides the amount of decibels produced, the crowd also vanishes the vibrations of the game. It looks like everyone's partying and not giving a damn of the on-going match.
That said, I like the vuvuzela, I don't like the new vuvuzela trend.

And now the most predictable headline ever:
Tom Danielson is inj...sorry, I mean Robben is injured. I get those two mixed up a lot.

A group of Spanish and Portuguese journalists have been attacked by a group of burglars (armed with firearms), and some of them have lost part of their possesions (computers, money, etc). Even a Portuguese journalist was held at gunpoint.
I have the terrible feeling that something bad is going to happen in this WC. The security sucks. |

But I am quite sure he will be fit for the last 1-2 group games and definatly for the games after that. |

Acceptable first half.
And very well done by the referee - unlike many of the players, he knows the offside rule |

With the combination of the vuvuzelas and rubbish commentators, who clearly missed a couple of geography lessons back in school (apparently Mexico now lies in South-America and borders Colombia), turning off the volume is quite tempting.
With that said though, the vuvuzelas have really not annoyed me particularly much, I think I'll used to them.
Very nervous play in the beginning of the match, but that is to be expected.
Edit: And ten seconds after I'm finished writing that; goal!

The decision was correct, but that doesn't change the fact that the rule is flawed. The goal keeper was basically rewarded for his own stupidity. |
