it's like landis : i didn't take doping --> check www.sporza.be
i don't believe what he says. if he really wanted to hurt them, then he would have beaten them with over a minute and a half

I still say thats he's lying.
why risk the sprint against nys???
if he was that good the he would have taken 5 sec in the last lap so that he didn't need to sprint .
wait didn't he say the last time that he we was in very good shape and then he got beaten .
perhaps he is very strong , i agree. but to say that he won without making a effort is too much. he migth as well say that he'll will the vuelta next year

Boom is great, but saying that the competition today was shite and that he toyed with them is bs
Nys was equally good today and lost in the sprint, and the rest of the pack didnt finnish at great distance, so wtf?
Friday, two days ago, he had so much over he finnished 2mins behind the winner in 9th place, the competition must have been huge there then

Why risk a sprint???
As if Boom has any risk sprinting against Nys? He was on a flat tire and still he won the sprint easily. I mean, cmon... why waist power when you can win like that.
And besides, doesn't Nys do the same the last 2 years? Saving his powers until the very last, winning with minimal effort?
O yeah! Guess you forgot.
@and taking the Scheldecross as argument is laughable. That was:
1) a sand cross (boom is known to be horrible in the sand
2) not more than training for him (he even said so...nommay is more important because it was world cup. He needed scheldecross to get racing rythm)
Touché right back at you

Why am I not surprised the Dutch and Belgian members are taking the positions they are?
Anyway, I concur with Ruben |

you can never take the ris kof a sprint.
ive done cyclocross. one of the first things they teach is that never bet on the sprint.
a lot can go wrong. its better to take circa 5 seconds so that you don't need to go all out in a sprint.....
And de scheldeprijs could have been just a practise , but if it was a pratice i bet he wouldn't lose 2 min but less like 1min or so.
i bet you've never done cyclocross. it's far different of ordinary cycling;

Why did he try to drop Nys in the last round if he didnt want to waste(this is how you write it ;p) his powers and was 10000% sure that he would win the sprint?
And yes, Nys doesnt try to win with huge differences anymore, because he wants to win and wins the 3 GC's each year, by racing 2 races each week for an entire season
Unlike Boom, who has to go to train in Lanzarote during the season 3 weeks of each month, to have a chance of beating tired riders, who ride 2 races week in week out(Nys/Wellens/Albert/..), once in a while

He didn't try to get away from nys, he saw Wellens coming. Plus you are forgetting Boom rides an entire road season. It's logical he doesn't ride 40 crosses.
And it's not that he rides nothing, he still rides about 35 crosses this year, which is only 3/4 crosses less than Nys...

did you hear me say that he rides nothing? althoug i must agree with mortchill. i was saying , there is a great difference between roadracing and cyclocross. i won't argue about his tactics on the raod , because ive never done roadracing. just cyclocross.
thats is my point he didn't try to get away from nys......
