@TMM Hey, I noticed a small mistake in the DB. Can Henjan Knol be renamed to his real name, Henkjan Knol? It's now more Scandinavic than Dutch

No problem Atlantius, you did some great work.
And opening the DB and seeing that my rider is called Henjan was pretty funny actually

Two other questions:
How develop riders? How will it be decided how the stats of a player change?
Am I allowed to do equipment or won't it be included in the database? |

Development:
Complicated a bit...
Points are earned by quality of manager posts.
Points then spent on improving stats.
Number of Points decided by myself and team of other players and non-players.
Stats can decrease for over 30's. This will happen randomly.
You can make equipment, but it will then by up to the reporters as to whether they include it.

Custom riders will develop by 'developing' points they get by doing reports about themselves.
Existing riders will develop by money. I guess older riders will be a tiny bit more expensive than younger ones(TMM said that age isn't a really important thing for development), and of course, updating a stat from 82->83 is way more expensive than 70->71.
Also, the declining age is 34, so if a rider turned 34 in a season, they will be less good the next season.
@TMM Can you find some time to collect all the rules in one place? It's way easier for people who want to join, and also for the current 'members' of this game. The 'combination thread' isn't updated at all
Edit: Zabel'd by TMM, and it seems that I didn't really understand everything.
Btw, TMM, the decline age was 34 you said!

Okay
So if understood correctly, you decide how the stats change, so there is no potential and you can only higher stats with paying?
About the Equipment: Doesn't it need to be included in the database to use it ingame? |

@Jesl
Check the 3rd post of this thread for Rules now may be some missing... but i can now update them simply
And i changed my mind as i did some maths and 34 was too generous, so from 30 they can decline now.

Interesting changes, decline will be more realistic, but it will definitely hurt some teams.
Progress will all be about balancing it right. Idealy the younger riders catch up with the old ones at some points, without overtaking them too soon.
Team progress might get a bit tricky as well. Teams with many young riders will have to chose which ones they want to develop, while team with few young riders can get theirs pretty high.
Lastly, I agree a central place with the updated rules would be useful
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Oh. That turned out really bad for me. Signed pretty many riders with age 30-32, because I knew that their contract wouldn't be finished after they turned 34(so they wouldn't decline).
I now have most of my leaders declining, and didn't count on that, since the declining age was 34.
That sucks
Why not just make it 34, just like it is in PCM?
Can't I negotiate it up to 32/33/34?
Edit: Thanks for putting the rules in the third post

Well, I wouldn't panic yet, not until we've seen the numbers at least. It could be something like
31=10% chance decline
32=20% chance decline
33=30% chance decline
etc.
Could also be 50% for all I guess. But yeah, we'll need some specific numbers before we can really judge this.
And then there's the part of how much they'll decline as well. Same here, will need the numbers TMM has in mind before we can properly discuss it.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

@Bikex
It would have to be placed in the correct equipment folders and labled properly yes. I'm not going to do it personaly, but if a reporter so feels they can take it upon themselves to do so.
There is no potential, you can only pay. But it will be cheaper for certain ages, levels etc.
@Jesl
Ha, it does, didnt notice that. But a 30yo is unlikely to decline. A 33yo has equal chance of declining or not. So you'll still be fine.

I just checked the database and although I am not sure but I think you won't see my jersey ingame because you put it in the folder for the secondary team...
And just in case if you have to change the database can you change my team shortcut to TMI but that`s just a minor important requst from me |

Oh well, as long as a 31 year old won't have 60% chance on declining, and declines 5 points per stat, It will be fine. Otherwise Tom(Boonen) and Thomas(Voeckler) will hate you from now on

What Jesleyh said. I don't think it's fair to change it that much after the draft - especially when you lower it by four years.
And I don't think declining at 30 is much more realistic compared to real-life as 34 - perhaps somewhere in between?
Edit: Just saw the other posts regarding this

So people can stop panicking
30 = 1/6 chance of "slight" decline
31 = 2/6 chance of "slight" decline
32 = 2/6 chance of "slight" decline + 1/6 chance of "major" decline
33 = 3/6 chance of "slight" decline + 1/6 chance of "major" decline
34 = 3/6 chance of "slight" decline + 2/6 chance of "major" decline
35+ = 2/6 chance of "slight" decline + 3/6 chance of "major" decline
so no need to panic

Tom Boonen and Thomas Voeckler still panicking though, but less than they did earlier...
Shouldn't there be a 38+ 5/6 chance or something like that?
I also think there has to be a bigger difference between 30 and 35+.
Like 30= 1/12 slight 31= 1/6 slight. etc. But that's just my opinion.
And these can affect custom riders too, can't they?

I think that at 35 the possibilities must be 6/6:
3/6minor+3/6major
It seems fine though... |

Okay, you (almost) convinced me TMM
But can you tell us how much minor and major are.
As in, can you give us an example?
