Just so I can get onto the next season I am going to give you the Preview now.
Hey guys. I’m back.
I missed all of you guys heaps. Anyway let’s get on with the season
Introduction.
You know I am Ryder Hesjedal and you know that I rode for Garmin Cervelo than Garmin Sharp. Some of you will know that I now ride for Lamborghini Cycling Team formerly known as Vacansoleil – DCM. I am now 32 years of age and still have at least another 5 years of racing ahead of me. Maybe even more. When I moved away from Garmin one rider sticked with me and that is young sprint Steele Von Hoff. He loved racing with me and can’t wait for another season together (well 2 seasons). This season I am going to give it a bit more thought as I know I can win a grand tour but once again I am going to go to the Giro and the Vuelta and go to the Tour when I am ready and know I can win. So this season the Giro is my main focus with the Vuelta there to see how I go.
I really want to be able to wear the pink jersey like I did last year but this time I want to win it. That is my only goal at the Giro. WIN!
I have worked out the first of my schedule. Only ¼ but it is still a schedule.

So that’s the first part of the schedule. I don’t expect much from the TDU or the Strade Bianchi but from Paris Nice onwards I expect quite a lot. It will be interesting to see how I go from there on.

So Steele told me before the race he wanted to get into the break and hopefully the break would stay away so he could sprint for the win. That is
his plan today.
Von Hoff is 3rd wheel.
100km to go and Von Hoff’s breakaway group has 3.38 on the peloton.
With 22km to go Goss caught up to the break.
12km to go and 4 riders attacked including Von Hoff.
3km to go and the sprint started. Von Hoff was 3rd wheel.

What a way to start of the season for Lamborghini. This looks to be a good season for Von Hoff. He is the leader at the Santos TDU so expect him to win a stage or two.

Help Von Hoff get the win. That’s it.
Baugnies wins the first mountain points so we have the mountain jersey for tomorrow.
With 60km to go we had 3 riders on the front.
The break was caught with 32km to go.
With 14km to go Von Hoff had Hunter’s wheel and Dumoulin had Greipal’s wheel.
With 5km to go Terpstra attacked. Durbridge followed and so did me and Grabsch.
Farrar passed me with 1km to go.
And Farrar gets the win for Garmin Lotus.
Dumoulin did an awesome job and got 2nd place ahead of Robbie Hunter.

Well Jaguar has already had some sponsor trouble. Losing Cervelo for some reason. Luckily Pinerello has backed the side and Rapha has made a brand new kit for the team.
