Cavendish winning is a surprise. Really like the screens and shame that Greipel wasn`t in similar form obviously.
Nice co-sponsor for the next season. Will there be any shirt changes or do you keep the La Pomme jersey?
The jersey will change. It has already been made by one of the best designers on the site, but I wont present it until the end of the year.
All I can say is that it looks amazing...

Bouygues
Hopefully they just take over the team soon. I miss them a lot.
Great bunch of reports. I remember when our stories were about level on page numbers and now I've taken a short break to focus for school and elsewhere and you've pulled out a massive gap

Shouldn't be too long until you get to see the jersey. Only a few races left on the calendar, after all.
1.2: Piccolo Giro di Lombardia
As the name indicates, this is a little foretaste of tomorrow's big race - Il Lombardia. The racing here could still reach a nice level, as it's held in the same area as it's big brother. Therefore obviously a rather hard parcours, with lots of climbing.
With Perichon still not quite in best shape, our hopes lie in Koretzky. Not in great form either, but at least a bit better. The more fit Skujins will certainly also try something, even though the course looks a bit too tough for him.
After his performance in the worlds and Languedoc, Dombrowski must obviously be considered the big favourite. Durasek should also be watched, as he was really strong on the recent stage to Mende.
Then there's a bunch of dangerous Italians. Franco Pellizotti and Elia Favilli have both shown good form lately. Idea's Andrea Palini has also been strong this year, so another potential candidate. But it's a very open race.
Not a lot of action early on, so we move directly to the end of the stage...
Idea spend most of the day doing the pace, and with 20 km left, they start to play out their cards. Cristian Cominelli attacks on the steepest climb on the route - immediately followed by Dombrowski.
Cominelli and Dombrowski gapping the rest.
Dombrowski pushes on very hard over the top of a climb, and a gap emerges behind the duo. No doubt from either one of them from there, and they start to share the work - extending their lead with every kilometer.
On the last serious climb of the day, Cominelli kicks again. Dombrowski is caught sleeping and finds himself distanced by the Italian in the very finale. The sprint is meanwhile kicked off from behind, with Durasek leading a bigger group, including Koretzky, back towards the two leaders.
Cominelli trying to hold off Dombrowski and the others.
Cominelli proves to have more than enough of an advantage left to survive all the way to the line. A big win for the man who has really taken a huge step this year. Perhaps Italy's next big thing for the classics?
Cominelli fends off the chasing field for the victory!
The perfect day for Idea is completed with Palini flying past Dombrowski and crushing the rest of the favourite group in the sprint for second. Koretzky also finishes incredibly well, just about pipping a tired Dombo for third. Perichon finishes in the same group, but a lot further down.
Palini leaves the others in the dust.

Short announcement - just fyi:
I wont be able to report from any races in the upcoming days. I'm on a skiing trip over this weekend, and then I've got math finals on Tuesday. Therefore, I'd say that the next race will be up on Wednesday, or possibly Tuesday evening.
Stay tuned until then!

1.2: Giro del Lazio
We're still in Italy for another race, of similar orientation. A short, fast stretch of flat will take the riders to the decisive final 10 km - which includes two difficult climbs. The last of those leading all the way up to the finish.
Still not quite there form-wise, but Koretzky should be able to snatch a Top 5 / 10 judging by his recent races. Perichon, Skujins and Paillot will all be there to help him out as much as possible, but the final climb might be too much for them.
Idea's super-duo; Cominelli and Palini, were unchallenged in Piccolo Lombardia - so why should that change? Durasek also seemed to be one of the stronger back then, so definitely another one to look out for.
We skip over the long, boring, flat beginning of the race to join the racing on the final climb. After Idea cranks the pace up a notch, it's Koretzky who gives it a go under the five k-banner. Basically all the other pre-race favourites tag along in the acceleration.
Koretzky goes for it early on the climb!
The attack is neutralized by Idea just two kilometers later. This leads to a moment of looking around, before Palini launches the next big attack!
Palini flies past a caught Koretzky.
Pellizotti is the first to make the jump back at Palini once the sprint is kicked off. Koretzky has nothing left to respond with, so it seems like it's a battle between the front two - with Durasek coming back with good speed as well.
It's Palini vs. Pellizotti!
Tired from the earlier acceleration, Palini fades badly in the finale - allowing Pellizotti to just about top Durasek for the victory. Cominelli comes back with sick speed in the last meters, but misses out after starting from a bad position. Koretzky finishes 16th.
Pellizotti gets the better of Durasek.

A quiet race for the team in Italy, not surprising after the recent Good form they had been showing

You're right, Freitas. I've hated my username ever since realising how pathetic it is to name yourself after a rider...
Changing it would just be confusing though.
Monthly news: September
Notable results:
18/08 - 09/09 | Vuelta a España | JoaquÃÂm RodrÃÂguez | 07/09 | GP de Québec | David Veilleux | 09/09 | GP de Montréal | Enrico Gasparotto | 19/09 | World Championships - Time Trial | Alberto Contador | 23/09 | World Championships - Road Race | Mark Cavendish | 29/09 | Giro di Lombardia | JoaquÃÂm RodrÃÂguez |
Purito Rodriguez made sure to leave the season in best possible way. As a follow-up to his Vuelta victory, he also destroyed a star-studded field in Lombardia, arriving in Lecco all by himself. In Canada, we got surprising winners in both races. Veilleux impressively from a sprint, and Gasparotto solo.
Rodriguez and Contador have dominated lately.
WorldTour rankings:
1 | Fabian Cancellara | Radioshack - Nissan | 674 | 2 | Tom Boonen | OmegaPharma - Quickstep | 621 | 3 | JoaquÃÂm RodrÃÂguez | Katusha Team | 487 | 4 | Bradley Wiggins | Sky Procycling | 478 | 5 | Jelle Vanendert | Lotto-Belisol Team | 465 | 6 | Alejandro Valverde | Movistar Team | 432 | 7 | Daniel Moreno | Katusha Team | 414 | 8 | Simon Gerrans | Orica-GreenEDGE | 373 | 9 | Chris Froome | Sky Procycling | 370 | 10 | Vincenzo Nibali | Liquigas - Cannondale | 341 |
With only Tour of Beijing left on the calendar, it's only a matter of waiting for Cancellara before he'll be crowned the world's #1. In fact, the top 10 is unlikely to change much, if at all - knowing that these riders probably wont even bother racing Beijing.
1 | Sky Procycling | 1326 | 2 | Orica - GreenEDGE | 1087 | 3 | Katusha Team | 1085 | 4 | OmegaPharma - Quickstep | 1068 | 5 | Lotto-Belisol Team | 1016 |
Something sensational would be required to take this title away from Sky now. Simply a level above the other teams this year. Notable is that Katusha have made a big leap up on the podium after recent results from mainly Rodriguez and Moreno, who've both scored good points lately.
Continental Tour rankings:
1 | Alexander Serebryakov | Team Type 1 - Sanofi | 913 | 2 | Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg | MTN - Qhubeka | 819 | 3 | Evaldas Siskevicius | La Pomme Marseille | 818 | 4 | Tom Veelers | Team Argos-Shimano | 759 | 5 | Jempy Drucker | Accent Jobs - Willems Verandas | 646 | 6 | Boy Van Poppel | UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling | 598 | 7 | Jonathan Tiernan-Locke | Endura Racing | 590 | 8 | Cristian Cominelli | Team Idea | 523 | 9 | Steven Tronet | Auber 93 - BigMat | 445 | 10 | Joseph Dombrowski | Bontrager - Livestrong Team | 444 |
Serebryakov's unstoppability in the last few races have taken him to the top, with a good buffer over Van Rensburg in second place. Still uncertain who'll take the crown. Evaldas menawhile seems to be staying in the top 5 all the way. Talk about awesome season he has had, eh?
1 | Team Type 1 - Sanofi | 2237 | 2 | Team Argos - Shimano | 2221 | 3 | Itera - Katusha | 1908 | 4 | La Pomme Marseille | 1720 | 5 | An Post - Sean Kelly Team | 1583 |
The battle for first place is going to go on all the way to the last races! Our position among the top 5 looks cemented, there's a gap of 300 points below An Post in fifth. Really far above what we expected this year!
CQ rankings:
1 | Fabian Cancellara | Radioshack - Nissan | 3417 | 2 | Tom Boonen | OmegaPharma - Quickstep | 3285 | 3 | JoaquÃÂm RodrÃÂguez | Katusha Team | 2652 | 4 | André Greipel | Lotto-Belisol Team | 2131 | 5 | Alejandro Valverde | Movistar Team | 1948 | 6 | Bradley Wiggins | Sky Procycling | 1837 | 7 | Matthew Goss | Orica-GreenEDGE | 1829 | 8 | Jelle Vanendert | Lotto-Belisol Team | 1798 | 9 | Daniel Moreno | Katusha Team | 1733 | 10 | Vincenzo Nibali | Liquigas - Cannondale | 1637 |
The exact same names on the podium as in the WT ranking. Cancellara and Boonen have clearly been in their own dimension, while Rodriguez also has moved clear of the rest with his success in the last few races.
1 | OmegaPharma - Quickstep | 7891 | 2 | Sky Procycling | 7781 | 3 | Katusha Team | 6940 | 4 | Lotto-Belisol Team | 6841 | 5 | Radioshack - Nissan | 6750 |
Interestingly enough, Sky aren't leading this one. Just shows that OPQS have been amazing this year. Mainly thanks to Boonen, who is the source of 42% of their points. This will certainly be a close battle in the final races!
Victories:
1 | Tom Boonen | OmegaPharma - Quickstep | 21 | 2 | André Greipel | Lotto-Belisol Team | 20 | 3 | Alexander Serebryakov | Team Type 1 - Sanofi | 18 | 4 | Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg | MTN - Qhubeka | 16 | 5 | Fabian Cancellara | Radioshack - Nissan | 15 |
For more or less the whole season, the question has been: "Boonen or Greipel?". However, it's not impossible that Serebryakov is the one who eventually slips away with the victory king-title!
1 | OmegaPharma - Quickstep | 48 | 2 | Sky Procycling | 45 | 3 | Lotto-Belisol Team | 42 | 4 | Orica - GreenEDGE | 38 | 5 | Radioshack - Nissan | 37 |
OPQS probably have this one sewn up. Unless Sky goes berserk in Beijing, they shouldn't be able to close down three wins. Once again it's all thanks to Boonen - who has 44% of his team's total amount of victories!

How rude I dont know about you, but I just named myself something quick so I could download things from the download section
And changing it would be weird.
Also really awesome to see Veilleux win in Quebec. Hopefully he can win it in real life sometime
Results seem really realistic too.
