Sky is going to have to pick one of the riders, and judging by the chatter coming from the Sky camp its going to be Brad
I'm not so sure. Wiggins might be the big favorite at this point but he's not a guarantee as sure as Cav's 3-4 stage wins. And Cav needs support of his team because I don't see the others chasing breakaways knowing Cavendish is going to beat all their sprinters at the finish line.
Sky will do a lot, but expect Argos and Lotto to do fair bulk of work as well
Argos's main chance lie in Kittel and Degenkolb and Greipel already proven he can beat Cav. Same with GreenEdge, they should do chase too.
It's fair to say Sky squad will look like that :
- Wiggins ( Leader )
- Froome ( No work in flats )
- Porte ( No work in flats )
- Rogers ( Mountain/Flat Doemstique )
- Siutsou ( Mountain/Flat Doemstique )
- Pate/ Knees
- Cav
- EBH
- Eisel
So Cav will not have some support, Sky will have the power to chase the breaks, but also will be helped quite a lot. But will not to have it's own train and will have to rely on EBH to position Cav on somebody's train. Cav is know to position quite well, so I don't see much problem.

Voeckler and Rolland? I was hoping to see Rolland fight out on the Joux Plane.

Dan Martin
On way to 10am start cos 2 woman are hitting a ball to each other this afternoon. Maybe we ride real slow, delay the tv coverage?
Anyone wondering, it's because of Rolland Garros indeed

Is anyone really surprised? As fans of pretty much every sport have spent the past 20 years mentioning, Eurosport is "The Tennis Channel".
They'll gladly show 1st round matches of unimportant tournaments instead of major competitions of other sports.
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified
"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong

Let's go Machado! Now, more seriously, I'd say Voeckler for the win if the break isn't caught. |

The time-trial crash limited him a bit. Still, that doesn't forget the utter shit he's been this year. |

Seriously?
His talk about testing his legs today was just another lie then.

Well, I guess he was affected by the fall in the TT and he was stating he was suffering from knee pains ...
But you never know what's happening in that Radioshack camp.
What makes this bit funny is this statement yesterday :
“I’ve abandoned too many times this year already,” he said with a half smile'' But now the Tour is in four weeks so it’s a case of no turning back. You have to go straight on.”

That wasn't a successful Dauphinée for Schleck.
I reckon he still has a lot, a lot of work for TDF, but I believe he'll be there, in the mountains. |

Shock of the century
Seriously... it is almost like he doesn't want to be a cyclist. He just wants to be a Tour de France winner.

That could be the case, although it wouldn't surprise me if it's just another minor injury he uses as an excuse to abandon.
Not saying that it's absolutely certain that it doesn't trouble him of course. It could obviously be an injury that he suffers from. Still doubt it for some reason...

Seriously... it is almost like he doesn't want to be a cyclist. He just wants to be a Tour de France winner. Only with his brother next to him, and without ever dropping him (he wouldn't hurt him). |

Let's cut Schleck some slack
But I agree he has somewhat a special attitude as a rider.
Many cyclists focus in TDF, but there's still a difference between focussing and practically only riding TDF. |

Don't forgot a certain Lance Armstrong invented only riding the Tour and not caring about the other races. And who is Schleck's team leader?
I know there's a lot going on at Radioshack, but I'm not sure if JB's really that unhappy with this.
