There will be Schack team for 2011?
They'd need to sign someone great to replace Armstrong for the team to continue |

Dissapointing how Schleck reacted to Contador's attack though - caught up and moved back to the front again, didnt even try to take Contadors wheel instead - which could have given him a chance to try another attack himself

What about the team competition now? Wasn't Caisse better than Shack today?
Sadly not. 3 Radioshack riders finished before any Caisse rider
Then I missed Klöden and Armstrong completely. |

What an anticlimax at the end there. They should have sprinted for the stage win. |

But first CVV's big jump. Then Wiggo. Now Ryder 4th on Tourmalet...
Why can't a rider develop to a new level? Hesjedal won a Vuelta Stage last year and became 2nd in Amstel Gold race this year. It's not insane going from that to ending as 4th in a mountain stage in the Tour. It's not like he is a noone in cycling. |

I disagree. Sanchez clearly was. This was the only mountain stage where Rodriguez finished ahead of Sanchez (iirc), and he did better at Mende of course |

Great stage for me - Schleck and Contador clearly the two strongest riders. Cannot believe Schleck can beat Conta in TT but there is still the chance.
I found the fans quite disturbing here. Seemed to make it more difficult to attack.
Why oh why do fans run beside the riders and why are they not punished. C'mon stop waiting for a disaster to happen, be proactive put barriers up make arrests and fines etc.

Revelation
2009- Schleck gets 2nd, eats Conta's shit on the climbs
2010- Schleck gets 2nd, makes Conta eat his shit on most of the climbs until he drops his chain- then resumes the shit eating.
You see we could graph this on a curve, where the X-axis=Stage of Tour, and the Y-axis=Shit Eaten. Each year we see progression as the apex of the curve is pushed farther right, and if the trend continues, Schleck will have a TdF win in the next 3 years, potentially going positive in Given:Eaten. |

Yeh, the amount of time on the tourmalet that an attack was impossible - because of the fans

How many transvestites were there on Tourmalet? There had to be at least 20.

No, absolutely you're right. That's why I want to believe. Maybe Garmin really is just that good at developing talent that they've had a rider make a huge jump in each of the past 3 Tours. |

What a ride by Hesjedal. I thought that stage was very good. Sure it didn't have the massive attacks by Schleck bar the first one to get away from the other contenders, but I thought the mist that was slightly eerie made up for it. Not to mention it was still a very good ride.
Did anyone else notice those 'closed' vents on Boassen Hagen's helmet? Kinda neat. I presume it helped to keep the rain out. |

Kinda lame to not see them sprint. But they are clearly the best 2 of this TdF by far.
Also, awesome TdF by VdB. Before the tour, when i saw the startlist i hoped for a top 10, but honestly doubted it. But getting 5th in his second TdF is amazing. Especcially if you look at the contender field.
Yay, we have a GC contender

Who knows...? I'm not saying that Sanchez could follow Contador and Schleck, but he would be very close if this stupid fall wouldnt happen. Because if he was able to finish 5th on Tourmalet being hurt... when he was really suffering on Soulor, it proves how good form he has. And i'm not sure about fact that Menchov will be 3rd in GC. Samuel has always been very strong in last time trial of grand tour. |

I do not remember who it was, but I believe it was on this site that someone said to mark it down that he has a really good Tour. I find his price in a fantasy league to be cheap enough for me so I go through on this hunch. Too bad that was jsut about the only good surprise move I made. |
