it's about this time in every Vuelta that a random guy from a small spanish continental team "miraculously" wins a mountain stage (usually from a break)

Danielson out, Brakjovic out, Paulinho out. The whole team should pull out. |

the break includes Cunego, Bettini and Marchante (again). is this the time Bettini finally realises his dream of winning a mountain stage? not many years left for him to do it...
wait, just noticed Pellizotti, Vande Velde and especially Santos González are all there

CSC train at the front. Sorensen-Cuesta-Gustov. Vande Velde is up front in the break.
this is going to be interesting...
EDIT: apparently, Paulinho who was suffering from tendinitis on one knee during the Tour, now has tendinitis on both knees. that's why he quit.

just Moorenhout.
no one else worth mentioning for the mountains (and don't say Ardila. he's been horrible for two whole years now...)

Gustov is behind him in the queue. will Gustov take pulls? he's an amazing climber, but extremely inconsistent.
I still remember the 2006 Giro. after some random horrible climb, and then the Stelvio, they got to the Mortirolo. 45/50 guys in the peloton...Basso gestures for Gustov to take a pull. 1,5km further up the Mortirolo, Gustov ends his pull. the group of 45/50 was by then reduced to Basso and Simoni...amazing
