VATTENFALL CYCLASSICS
Almost the whole race is flat but there are few little hills in the end which are a great chance to attack.Especially then we have riders like Cunego,Kirchen,Ivanov,Albasini,Chavanel and Fränk Schleck. We hope that we can prevent a mass sprint because then we won´t have any chance again Cavendish or Boonen
With more than 70 km to go there was a small hilly section where Kirchen and Boonen starts an attack which was a little surprise for us in this early part of the race
After Kirchen was brought back to the pack Boonen doesn´t want to stay there and the pack had no chance against him
On the last small hill Ivanov makes a great move and it seems that no one takes this attack really serious while Boonen is still in front of the pack by 40 seconds
So with only 10 km to go Ivanov can reach Boonen and they will ride the next kilometres together
The last 5 km in Germany for the leading group with Ivanov and Boonen but it seems that the pack can reduce the gap.We know that Boonen had a long solo ride there so he won´t be really strong in the sprint because of this Ivanov could stay with him
As the sprint begins Boonen has no chance to stay with Ivanov it looks like another great win for Ivanov this season in an one day classic
Boonen is loosing many seconds now and behind him there are already Cancellara and Ballan
Well done! It´s another fantastic race for Ivanov and our team
Behind, Boonen lost his second position to Cancellara who leads in front of Ballan
Cancellara wins the sprint there in front of Ballan and Lorenzetto.Boonen becomes only 9th in the end.Bad luck for the Belgian after his great solo ride for 60 kilometres

This is our team presentation for the Eneco Tour
We have two brilliant time trialists with Ignatiev and Bodrogi because there are two time trials at stage 1 and stage 5.Ignatiev is our team captain for this tour and he will try to shine not only in tt´s but also at the last stage which is really hilly there.Furthermore Steegmans and Napolitano will try to shine in the sprints and there will be many sprints because 5 of 8 stages are totally flat!Especially Steegmans is our man there because Napolitano will only try to improve his fitness for the Vuelta and he will be Steegmans lead-out-man.So we have big hopes in this tour and our team |

ENECO TOUR
FIRST STAGE : DEN HELDER
First stage is like i said already a short time trial about 8 kilometres. We will see a lot of great riders such as Cancellara,Breschel,Larsson,Martin,Boasson Hagen,Lövkvist,Devolder,Sylvain Chavanel,Wiggins,Gutierrez,Ballan and Ignatiev ,who want to win this tour.Especially Saxo Bank and Columbia have an amazing team there
Gutierrez, the Spanish guy, sets the first time which is really fast.He leads for a long time
Bodrogi our best time trialist couldn´t get a good time.He lost 5 seconds to Gutierrez today
Devolder is back after a long time without any races! And it seems that his form is quite good because he gets the same time as Gutierrez!
Next one is Thomas Lövkvist and his time is great. He beats Devolder and Gutierrez by 4 seconds
But his lead was not for a long time because Larsson was already on the track and he was really fast there beating Lövkvist´s time by 7 seconds!
The British Champion Bradley Wiggins was in the race and he did a good job but he couldn´t reach Larsson´s fantastic time.He lost only 2 seconds to him
No one was faster than him today! It´s of course Fabian Cancellara who wins this first stage with 3 seconds to his team-mate Larsson.
Our best rider today was Ignatiev, who became 5th with 5 seconds to Cancellara. That´s a quite good position for the rest of this tour
Stage results/Overall

Our team presents their 8 riders for the next one-day-classic called Tre Valli Veresine
Of course Ivanov ,who won many great classics this year, will be our team captain. His fitness isn´t really great but it´s still enough for such a race. Our main opponents there are such as Visconti,Fedrigo,Trofimov,Efimkin or Tschopp.Bbox sent a great team to this race which isn´t very easy. It´s full of hard hills and in the end there´s another climb which probably will decide this race.Klimov will be the main protector of Ivanov and he will do everything to help him especially in the beginning |
