lol @ SN...
Cooke sucks. She'll be number two, again, next year in nearly all races when Vos kicks her ass |

For once though, its not as if I am making an outlandish comment about Cooke or any other British rider. She is the World and Olympic champion. Fact. And it seems that Ruben doesnt like me celebrating that fact.

World and Olympic champion is hardly sucky. it is sucky vs a (former) world champion in track, cyclocross and road racing as well as olympic champion... who is also 4 years younger and only 21. Vos >>>> Cooke |

what i don't understand is that how people can call Nicole cooke an unworthy champion, look at her palmares. Then call her an unworthy champion.

I was kidding guys, chill.
Anyway, as usual the environment in the Spanish and Belgian teams was far from perfect:
Oscar Freire
"Italy rode a good race, but we [the Spanish team]... we were not at top level. It was important to us to not initiate breaks, but if a break went, we had to be in it.
Valverde should have been in that group with Rebellin, Ballan and Cunego. But he wasn't, and with three Italians, the escape was validated behind.
We did a very bad race, Valverde should have been in front. Cunego, Rebellin and Ballan should not have been left to jump without him. Then, behind, nobody was pulling anymore.
I felt good, but sometimes races are like this, just very tactical. Today was like that. Italy was simply the best team
Tom Boonen
It was okay that Greg Van Avermaet went in the move, but then some of our guys starting going up one by one. In ten seconds the race was over for me.
There was a [pre-race] agreement that everyone would ride for me. These guys should not have done that. I lost my chance for the race; if they were there we could have brought back the move.

Just because you thing Vos is better than Cooke doesnt mean Cooke is 'sucky'. Tad immature no? At least I had the decency to recognise Vos's strength in my celebratory post.

here's the final line:
Cooke was strong, as was vos.
Cooke had the edge in the sprint and won

Cooke was not very strong, but good in sucking wheels.
Cooke profited from all others and sucked her way to the win. |

The other Belgian riders said after the race they were not convined by Boonens good legs and thats why they attacked. It is hilarious |

i'm not continuing it, i'd of been the first to say Vos was the stronger if she'd of won. You'd expect the respect back.
