Colombo did great, Kristoff okayish. All in all a good race for a mainly youngster team, i can mention Cervantes and Mohamed Arbe too (three riders in the U25 rankings) |

Thank you, Bikex, a great Tour de France. Quintana doesn't need any support to win, Kittel was untouchable and Cattenao and Colombo had the races of their lives. The latter 5th overall, on paper the weakest of the dozen MON 77 riders.
Colombo's performance slightly cheapens Tao's fine 8th overall, but sadly our man lost time to his rival on most stages. I'm also very happy with Monsalve (17th) and Simon (24th) - I don't think either of them had a better result in the CT last season than here at the Tour! Ruben 21st, had he not lost 15 minutes in the first week he would have fought for the top 10.

Thanks bikex for the results and the great coverage! A stellar performance of Herrada on the last mountain stage, what a raid, and even coming 2nd in the mountain rankings. The what if...? questions stings a lot, since he seems to be very competitive in the mountains despite his one MT disadvantage. I hope he can make up for it la Vuelta, otherwise at least his wage should go down a bit.
Fantastic stuff from Navarro, whilst VDP still hasn't found the groove this season. He is caught in limbo and really needs +1-2 stats in mt and hill to become competitive, it is very frustrating to see equal riders gain glory, esp Peiffer and Engeldinger.
Congratz to my friend Croatia, this has been coming for a long time and it is a crowing achievement of a fantastic season. Wonder how the team will develop from here on out. Also a great Tour from D2B and Suntory, Bardet finally with a big shout out after years of underperformance I dare say.
It is a shame however that many managers with riders in the Top 10 and wit many stage wins (Sugoi, Alitalia, CarbonSports...) are inactive or not interested, really kills the mood of ICL. Would be much better if an active manager would have gotten the 3rd and 4th place and so at least someone woul have been happy from it.
Rankings look okayish. If we deliver in Vuelta we should be safe. Otherwise we might suddenly end up in a fight as well if other teams perform well. Hopefully either Credit Suisse and/or CCC can make it, sympathetic and active managers that deserve to stay up. Credit Suisse with a great Tour may get some momentum like Sevilla last year.

I had nothing really prepared for Tour so anything given back was nice. Few top 10 results, a lot of breakaways, Roosen actively fighting in mountain classification, Anacona even with his stats finishing 15th in GC. At least that. Almost last in the rankings so it sucks. I thought my team would perform a bit better in few races. I need to hope TVG will deliver in Vuelta, and other riders in other races. If not I'll be a red lantern . Thanks to all reporters for an amazing job. |

Ponzi finishes off a great race for us with a nice top 5 in Paris! As I have already mentioned in all my posts the last few days, this race was way above expectations. 4 stage wins (3 (!) for Cattaneo), 11th in gc and taking the KOM jersey, what a race it has been. Before the race I was hoping for a top 10 from Domont and maybe a stage win along the way, so I guess I can't be unhappy
The funny thing is, the first 10 stages were absolutely terrible for us, with no stage results or breakaways joined and Domont getting injured and subsequently losing over 35 minutes. On top of that Ponzi was in the bottom 20 in gc and looking injured too, while Cattaneo and Lang were about 20 minutes down and outside the top 70. Somehow though the boys managed to turn this race around in the 2nd half with absolutely brilliant and aggressive racing on basically every single stage.
Cattaneo my man with the race of his life, just incredible, he never seemed to tire either. I was actually thinking about getting rid of him, as he didn't really perform neither last nor this year so far. Now he's become our best scorer just with this race alone. Already looking forward to contract negotiations.
Rankings actually look pretty encouraging now, with a solid gap down to the last 2 teams. Unfortuantely there won't be many more scoting opportunities for us, so I'll have to rely on a few more overperformances to survive.
Congrats to Croatia on the win and to all the managers who had a great race! Thanks for all these reports Bikex!

Peugeot went into the Tour focussed on Bouhanni for the sprints and in the hope to get into many breakaways. One stage win, a lot of top fives and third in the points classification is good enough for me, knowing the competition was strong. I am disappointed by the lack of breakaway successes though, I had hoped to achieve another stage win there. Geniez's GC position is where I'd expect him to be but I rather had a slightly lower position with a stage win. Lambert also a non-factor for white unfortunately.
This has also been the last appearance for Thomas Voeckler, who retires after this race. Thank you Thomas for your service.
Thanks bikex for the reports and congrats Croatia!

A French legend retires! Bon voyage, Thomas!
Well done, Credit Suisse, I privately talked up their TdF chances before the race but didn't think it'd go this well. Sugoi also really strong, CCC and Visit Ukraine will have to find an answer.
A tight four-way race to the CT crown, the relegated teams with their experienced managers only up against the Balkan Team.

Congrats to Croatia, Bardet well beaten in the end, maintaining his run of 2nd places. It was a great battle, real shame Herrada was so unlucky, a 3 way fight would have been even more enthralling.
Thanks for the reports Bikex.

Nice result from Majka in Annecy! Not much in our CT.2 home race, we brought the best possible rider we could, Van der Sande has exactly AVG 74.5, but he finished outside the points.

Polestar before San Sebastian: "Wow, Dylan is among the favorites, we have a chance".
Polestar after San Sebastian: "Wash, rinse, repeat"

Was hoping for a podium in San Sebastien but 5th from the reduced bunch sprint is still a good result for Yates.
Excellent 9th for Dombrowski in Annecy in a packed field. Did him an injustice not mentioning him in the previews.

Great tour for us. We obviously came in with less support than expected, but at the same time we've learned from our mistakes where in the past good helpers hindered Spilak to follow attacks from Taaramae in MG with PCM15 so I decided to go very different. Seems like it hindered us here and there but also benefitted us being responsive enough. Strong performance by Nairo, great to make it 3. At the end he is slightly better than Bardet imo, and that showed here.
Very nice San Sebastian for us with a 2nd and good depth, same for Annecy where Boileau really is looking good for our team. Kinda happy Ollfahrd resisted my trade package centered around him for a certain south american.

14th is a decent performance from Caruso in Annecy, would have hoped though that Villella could do a bit better.
Thanks for the results Shonak!

Holy moholy what a ride on that hilly stage. Though we still can't win an ITT fsr, and Mohoric was underwhelming there. Still got the lead, let's keep it now.

ToNE turned into a quite puncheur race which it wasn't last season so good race selection by Lutsenko and Mohoric who profited a lot from the lack of other top puncheurs I think. I will definitely keep the new race profile in mind for next year.

Come on, after the Tour our leader is injured again - and it was just in that one race that really suits Puccio. Luckily we've got the KOM jersey so far (which would obviously be a very nice consolation price).
