Frishkorn had to close all the gaps, good 2nd though
field sprint: Mcewen 5th, Zabel 6th, Freire 7th
Menchov and Ricco loose about 40 seconds

Pity about the French winning, but at least Millar didn't lose out, for the important time trial and for is hopes wearing the yellow jersey in the first week

Yes, i guess I saw someone else. Would love to see Millar in yellow . If soemone like Cancellara wins Vaughters said Millar would try to take it on stage 6 to Super-Bresse.

Slipstream lead the team classification could hold that for a while, but does anyone know if Feilu is a decent TT'r and if you think he has a chance to hold on to yellow

What are you talking about, Frishkorn closed one gap, and that was when Dumolin attacked, and Feillu closed the gap to thoose to afterwards, and Dumolin closed the gap to Feillu!

I'm liking Kirchen more and more for winning the green this year. He took 11th in the sprint an still holds a lead over Hushovd.
Hushovd probably takes it in stage 5... but Kirchen probably takes it back over the finishes in stage 6 and 7 (I'm assuming he averages top 10 type finishes in the hilly/mountain stages). Thor might take it back on stage 8... but then over stages 9-11 Kirchen should take it back. 12 and 13 are potential gainers for Thor... but Kirchen should finish ahead in stages 14-19.
At that point... I'm not sure Hushovd has a chance to be in green at the end of the tour. There are really only 4 sprint stages left. Unless Thor (or Friere) wins or takes second in all 4 of them I don't think they'll have enough points to win it... it will be either Kirchen or Valverde winning the green. |

its so annoying how one stupid rider can cost a gc rider so much time!!!! and like sharks smelling blood in the water quickstep (the worst non-french gc contenders in the race) put the hammer down!!! :x
I personally hope one of them falls today in the ITT and menchov wins it because cancellara gets a puncture :x:x:x
Ohwell at least the americans didnt get there win
