Tour de France
The last French winner of this race was Bernard Hinault in 1985, today, Thibaut Pinot ( FDJ) made the history by finally offering a new victory to France.
Concerning the Team, they did very well, they won 5 stages, they won all the classifications except "best team" and they show a great potential for the future years concerning the GC.

Sum Up:
Since I had troubles with my internet connection in Poland, I will give you the results all at once. I know this is not the best lay-out but I need this to be done.
This is also a good occasion to show my new jersey and the jersey of Luca. Jonas should have been here but he got ill two days before the race so he did not started it.
The first stage was won by Alexey Lutsenko ( AST), the profile was quite hilly but a sprint was the final outcome. I took an interesting 7th position in that stage.
The second stage was a flat stage, and a sprint was inevitable. Heinrich Haussler ( IAM) was the fastest and in the mean time in was taking the leader jersey out of the shoulders of Alexey Lutsenko ( AST).
The third stage was again flat but the finish was more difficult as there was some uphill section that blew up the legs of the sprinters. Edvald Boasson Hagen ( SKY) won this stage quite easily while I was taking the 9th position. We lost Georg in that stage, he crashed badly and he had to withdrew from the race.
Another flat stage for the 4th time, this time it was Matthew Harley Goss ( OGE) who was the fastest. Luka Mezgec ( GIA) ended at the 11th position.
The fifth stage was with the sixth one the main stage of the race, everything for the GC happened in those two stages.
During Stage 5, I was feeling good, I asked my team mates to keep the breakaway not to far as I knew the stage could be mine. In the last kilometers I asked Wilco (who is getting ready for the Vuelta) to ride behind Zdenek Stybar ( TEL). In the last kilometers I used Sagan's splitstream ( PEP) and I won my first stage with the French Champion Jersey \o/.
I was then in the top 3 and Heinrich Haussler ( IAM) was not supposed to survive Stage 6. I accelerated in the last hill but Alejandro Valverde Belmonte ( MOV) was way stronger than me. I ended up in a chasing group with Daniel Martin ( GRS), Jelle Vanendert ( LTB) and Philippe Gilbert ( BMC).
I ended at the last position of the group.
And finally, I was second in the GC and leader of the young classification.
I just had to survive the last flat stage which was won by Edvald Boasson Hagen ( SKY).

@sutty68: Thanks
@SSJ2Luigi: Pinot was in strong shape lately, and I'm sure that if he took part in the Vuelta he could achieve something too.
And of course I am really happy to win so quickly with that French Champion Jersey
The Squad:
Koen DE KORT
John DEGENKOLB
Dries DEVENYNS
Marcel KITTEL
Johan LE BON
Anthony LOUVEILLE
Ramon SINKELDAM
Tom STAMSNIJDER
Pre-Race:
Last season I was the winner here, I have good feelings about the race but the time trials and the lack of stage for attacks might be a problem to defend my title.
The first prologue shouldn't be a problem as we will climb the Kemmelberg. Then it will mostly be sprint stages where I will have to work for John or Marcel.
Stage 1
I started the stage early, the weather was really bad and the road wasn't good either.
I gave all I had in the Kemmelberg which gave me the best time at the intermediate time check.
I was not going as fast as I wanted in the downhill and in the end I failed at a temporary second positon, 5" behind the specialist Tony Martin ( IAM).
The French Champion, Johan Le Bon ( GIA) made the same time as me at the intermediate time check, we were both first at that time.
But he is better than me in time trials and he managed to take 7" on Tony Martin ( IAM). This pushed me to the third position.
In the end, no one managed to beat Johan and only Fabian Cancellara ( TFR), Luke Durbridge ( OGE) and Edvald Boasson Hagen ( SKY) managed to do a better time than me.
Stage Ranking:
1 | Johan Le Bon | Team Giant - Allianz | 9'00 | 2 | Tony Martin | IAM Cycling | + 7 | 3 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Sky ProCycling | + 8 | 4 | Luke Durbridge | Orica - GreenEDGE | + 11 | 5 | Fabian Cancellara | Trek Factory Racing | s.t. | 6 | Anthony Louveille | Team Giant - Allianz | + 13 | 7 | Guillaume Van Keirsbulck | Telenet Pro Cycling Team | + 15 | 8 | Lars Boom | Belkin Pro Cycling | s.t. | 9 | Taylor Phinney | BMC Racing Team | + 16 | 10 | Sylvain Chavanel | IAM Cycling | + 17 |
Stage 2
The plan then was to keep the leader jersey of Johan and bring John and Marcel to the sprint in the best conditions.
Our plan was quickly harder than we expected as a group of 13 riders got off the pack. Riders like Niki Terpstra ( TEL), Matti Breschel ( TCS), Sébastien Turgot ( ALM), Nick Nuyens ( GRS) and Marcus Burghardt ( BMC) worked hard to make this breakaway successful and behind them we were struggling to keep them to an acceptable distance.
Thanks to the help of Team Sky, we managed to bring them back in the pack and we were getting ready for the sprint.
I was supposed to lead out Marcel but as he was not feeling that good I led the German Champion John Degenkolb.
And despite the strength of John, he failed to the second position behind an impressive Heinrich Haussler ( IAM). Marcel ended at the 4th position and I took the 7th.
Stage Ranking:
1 | Heinrich Haussler | IAM Cycling | 4h48'08 | 2 | John Degenkolb | Team Giant - Allianz | s.t. | 3 | Arnaud Démare | Équipe Cycliste FDJ.fr | s.t. | 4 | Marcel Kittel | Team Giant - Allianz | s.t. | 5 | Jürgen Roelandts | Lotto - Belisol | s.t. | 6 | Giacomo Nizzolo | Trek Factory Racing | s.t. | 7 | Anthony Louveille | Team Giant - Allianz | s.t. | 8 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Sky ProCycling | s.t. | 9 | Filippo Pozzato | Lampre - Colombia | s.t. | 10 | Guillaume Van Keirsbulck | Telenet Pro Cycling Team | s.t. |
The race started well for the team, we are already in possession of the leader jersey and we are on top of the team ranking. I'm not far from the top of Young classification and I'm second in the points classification too.
The next stages will be importants because if Heinrich Haussler keeps winning he will take the jersey off Johan.
Anthony Louveille.

@Ian Butler: It would be great but with John and Marcel in the team, it will be their aim
Stage 3
Anonther flat stage we had to control. The breakaway was not as dangerous as the one of the second stage but there was still Matti Breschel ( TCS) in it and he took all the maximum time bonuses in the intermediates sprints. This time, we had the help of Astana and FDJ to bring them back.
AS in the second stage there was only one sprint train and it was ours.
This time, no one managed to beat our team, Marcel took a great victory away from John and I completed the podium, that was the triple for the team.
Stage Ranking:
1 | Marcel Kittel | Team Giant - Allianz | 5h00'19 | 2 | John Degenkolb | Team Giant - Allianz | s.t. | 3 | Anthony Louveille | Team Giant - Allianz | s.t. | 4 | Elia Viviani | Pepsi Pro Cycling | s.t. | 5 | Tyler Farrar | Garmin-Sharp | s.t. | 6 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Sky ProCycling | s.t. | 7 | Sacha Modolo | Lampre - Colombia | s.t. | 8 | Andrew Fenn | Telenet Pro Cycling Team | s.t. | 9 | Johan Le Bon | Team Giant - Allianz | s.t. | 10 | Giacomo Nizzolo | Trek Factory Racing | s.t. |
Stage 4
Another flat stage where we were the center of attention, everyone was waiting for us to move, nobody worked with us today and luckily for us, the breakaway did not fought that hard.
We were again the only sprint train in the final of the race and the power of Tom Stamsnijder created small gaps and many groups were now chasing our main group.
As Marcel was the one in really good shape we led him out and he rewarded us with another victory. John took the third position and I ended at the fifth position. This is my 4th top 10 in 4 stages.
Stage Ranking:

@Ian Butler: The field here is not the best we could have as opponents, but this is still a WT race so every points are welcomed
@SSJ2Luigi: I'm playing on easy "joke". The game difficulty is on extreme, but my riders are all in perfect shape
Stage 5
The fifth stage was the Queen Stage, a hilly profile and a finish on top of the Cauberg in Valkenburg. The team goal here was to bring Johan in the best condition so he could keep the jersey and defend it in the time trial of tomorrow.
Unwisely, we let a group of 9 riders including Niki Terpstra ( TEL), Yoann Offredo ( FDJ) and Andrey Amador Bikkazakova ( MOV) at the front and we had to do the chase all by ourselves.
Thanks to the help of Sky and IAM, we had brought back the breakaway to a reasonable distance when Alexandr Kolobnev ( KAT) attacked. There was still 28 kilometers to go but considering the rider we could not let him go.
Many other riders tried to attack after the acceleration of Kolobnev but none really managed to leave the group. All they managed to do was to bring the breakaway in the group quicker than expected.
But when we hit the 18 kilometers to go, two riders decided to unite their strength. Edvald Boasson Hagen ( SKY) and Robert Gesink ( BEL) gave us a really hard time. And on top of that came the flat tire of Johan in the last climb, he was in the middle of the pack, we Ramon Sinkeldam, Dries Devenyns and Tom Stamsnijder to bring him back while I was staying at the front with John and Marcel.
With 12 kilometers left I had the authorization of going away, Johan's group would make it and we had to play another card. I accelerated as soon as I saw a decrease of the pace in our group and thanks to my team mates I managed to create a small gap quickly.
I had good legs and I did not do too much efforts during the stage. The entente in the chasing group was not at its best and this led to a great victory for me, the fourth of this season. And since 2014 I won at list one stage of the Eneco Tour.
Stage Ranking:
What's not good is that Tony Martin ( IAM) took the second position of the stage in front of John a,d Marcel. He is still second in the GC and with a time trial left, keeping the leadership I've just took will be a very hard job.
1 | Anthony Louveille | Team Giant - Allianz | 4h54'28 | 2 | Tony Martin | IAM Cycling | + 33 | 3 | John Degenkolb | Team Giant - Allianz | s.t. | 4 | Marcel Kittel | Team Giant - Allianz | s.t. | 5 | Mikhail Ignatiev | Katusha Team | s.t. | 6 | Alexandr Kolobnev | Katusha Team | s.t. | 7 | Lars Boom | Belkin Pro Cycling | s.t. | 8 | Robert Gesink | Belkin Pro Cycling | + 53 | 9 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Sky ProCycling | s.t. | 10 | Zdenek Stybar | Telenet Pro Cycling Team | s.t. |
General Ranking after Stage 5:
1 | Anthony Louveille | Team Giant - Allianz | 19h29'18 | 2 | Tony Martin | IAM Cycling | + 35 | 3 | Marcel Kittel | Team Giant - Allianz | + 36 | 4 | John Degenkolb | Team Giant - Allianz | s.t. | 5 | Lars Boom | Belkin Pro Cycling | + 49 | 6 | Mikhail Ignatiev | Katusha Team | + 53 | 7 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Sky ProCycling | + 1'02 | 8 | Fabian Cancellara | Trek Factory Racing | + 1'05 | 9 | Alexandr Kolobnev | Katusha Team | + 1'06 | 10 | Jürgen Roelandts | Lotto - Belisol | + 1'11 |
As I said, keeping the jersey will be very hard against a guy like Tony Martin, but the last stage which includes difficult cobbled sections might my last chance to keep the trophy at home.
I'm sorry for Johan who could have keep his jersey if he had not a flat tire but that's cycling and things like that happened every time.

@sutty68: Thanks, and if I had to lose the jersey after the time trial, you can be sure that the team would do everything to get it back
@SSJ2Luigi: Thanks
Stage 6
The sixth stage was a 16 kilometer Time Trial with a cobbled section at the end, I was well determined to keep my jersey and this to any cost.
But first lets talk of Johan's performance. After taking the second best time at the intermediate time check, the man was the temporary leader of the stage classification.
Concerning myself, I was the last to get off and at the intermediate time check I was 11th 23" behind Tony Martin ( IAM) who had signed the best time.
I fought hard on the cobblestones to lose the less time possible but in the end I was finishing 41" late, I still took the 10 th position of the stage while Johan was 4th but I had lost the jersey for 6".
Stage Ranking:
1 | Tony Martin | IAM Cycling | 21'00 | 2 | Taylor Phinney | BMC Racing Team | + 6 | 3 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Sky ProCycling | + 21 | 4 | Johan Le Bon | Team Giant - Allianz | + 22 | 5 | Fabian Cancellara | Trek Factory Racing | s.t. | 6 | Luke Durbridge | Orica - GreenEDGE | + 26 | 7 | Lars Boom | Belkin Pro Cycling | + 32 | 8 | Jos Van Emden | Belkin Pro Cycling | + 40 | 9 | Rohan Dennis | Garmin-Sharp | + 41 | 10 | Anthony Louveille | Team Giant - Allianz | s.t. |
General Ranking after Stage 6:
1 | Tony Martin | IAM Cycling | 19h50'53 | 2 | Anthony Louveille | Team Giant - Allianz | + 6 | 3 | Lars Boom | Belkin Pro Cycling | + 46 | 4 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Sky ProCycling | + 48 | 5 | Fabian Cancellara | Trek Factory Racing | + 52 | 6 | Marcel Kittel | Team Giant - Allianz | + 1'09 | 7 | Mikhail Ignatiev | Katusha Team | + 1'21 | 8 | Jürgen Roelandts | Lotto - Belisol | + 1'25 | 9 | Rohan Dennis | Garmin-Sharp | s.t. | 10 | John Degenkolb | Team Giant - Allianz | + 1'26 |
Well I wore the leader jersey only for one stage, 6" is nothing if I look well at the profile of tomorrow but again, Tony Martin seems strong and I will need a whole team to defeat him.
In other news, I'm leading the Points Classification and the Young Classification too.
Anthony Louveille

@SSJ2Luigi: I know I can do it and if you have trust too it's great
@sutty68: I will just have to push him to his limits on cobblestones.
Stage 7
This was my last chance, last year I used the last stage to get the GC victory, this time going in the breakaway would be ruining my chances. This is why I had the whole team dedicated to me.
The plan was to impose a fast pace during the whole race so we would avoid a mass sprint finish.
We let a group of 14 riders going at the front. Koen De Kort and Dries Devenyns was helping in the chase the IAM riders. They were already imposing a strong pace and with 150 kilometers to go the pack was reduced to 90 riders.
Tom Stamsnijder was the one who imposed a very fast pace in the first lap. And in the second lap, the acceleration of Ramon Sinkeldam blew up the pack. There was still five of us in the group and Tony Martin ( IAM) was still hanging on.
Johan Le Bon was the last one to put an acceleration on the cobblestones, no one was at the front and no one had the strength to attack. When I realized that Tony Martin was beginning to crack, I accelerate myself, it was the last cobblestones and I had to test his limits.
In the last flat part, Johan was leading a group of 8 riders where Tony Martin wasn't. I still had John with me so it was three Giant - Allianz for a group of 8 riders. We started to consider the stage win too as the GC was almost mine.
Johan did an amazing work to keep us at the front and with John we decided to fight for the victory. I used Edvald Boasson Hagen ( SKY) split stream while John was leading with Sep Vanmarcke ( BEL) in his wheel.
I pulled a last acceleration on an uphill section and I was going for a second stage win.
I was the strongest in the group and I my second stage win here. Jürgen Roelandts ( LTB) took the second position and John Degenkolb ( GIA) took the third position.
Tony Martin ( IAM) arrived 2'08 after me which mean that I won the General Classification \o/.

I made it, I keep the trophy home I had an extremely strong team with me today and I can not thanks them enough for all the job they did in the stage and in the race in general.
Winning the three classification is quite an achievement for me and this show people that I can be good in every fields (Time Trials, Cobbles, Hills,...)
My next race is the German race Vattenfal Cyclassics. Again John and Marcel will be there but if I can make the same as last year (a late attack) I will try to do it.

@sutty68: I came to Belgium for that purpose. If I had came back without anything I would Have been disappointed. And I must say that the team played a big part in my victory.
Vattenfall Cyclassics
The Squad:
Koen DE KORT
John DEGENKOLB
Marcel KITTEL
Johan LE BON
Anthony LOUVEILLE
Dominic NERZ
Ramon SINKELDAM
Tom STAMSNIJDER
Pre-Race:
After my victory in the Eneco Tour, the team decided to give me the leadership of the team. If I can go away in the last kilometers, I have the authorization. If it comes to a sprint, then Marcel and John will be our main priorities.
Race Report:
A group of 6 good riders escaped from the pack very quickly, and it looked like no team would do the job for us today, we were the main team of the event.
Thor Hushovd ( BMC), Sergey Firsanov ( RUS), Yoann Paillot ( FDJ), Peter Kennaugh ( SKY), Fabio Andres Duarte Arevalo ( LAM) and Alexis Vuillermoz ( ALM) had a maximum gap of 14' when there was 100 kilometers to go.
This is when we launched the machine, Koen De Kort ( GIA) was the first one to lead the chase, he brought the breakaway to 5', 40 kilometers from the finish line. He also hurt many organism as the pack was reduced to 120 people.
When Johan Le Bon took his turn, the breakaway was getting closer and closer. He did a really good work and it looked like he could do even more.
Johan was really strong and after a steep climb, he had put the pack in a line. John and I were hanging on but the Telenet rider behind John could not follow the extremely fat pace imposed by my team mate.
A small gap was created, as we had a lead of 20" on the pack. The breakaway was not far from us and Johan continue to ride really fast. I started to help him as I though we could make it even if there was still 20 kilometers to go.
We were working well together without worrying about the pack behind us. All that mattered was the riders in front of us who were still resisted to our come back. We were not gaining time on them and neither was the pack.
After a last effort from myself, we lost Johan but John was still in contact. We finally joined the breakaway when there was only 9 kilometers to go. They had giving up when we arrived and they did not want to cooperate with us.
When we realized that the pack was coming closer, John told me to go for the victory, no one had the legs to follow my acceleration and the pack was still few meters behind them.
All I had to do now was to ride for my life, I was alone against a whole pack launched at full gas, Mark Cavendish ( TEL)'s team mates were riding behind me but they were struggling to get meters on me.
I resisted until the end and I won for the second time in a row the Vattenfall Cyclassics. Marcel took the second position and the Italian Sacha Modolo ( LAM) ended at the third position.

Anther great victory for me and I can tell you that every time I raise my arms to the sky I enjoy it . I'm starting to enter the books now, I am with Tyler Farrar and Arnaud Demare the owner of the victory records on that race.
Once again the team did a great job to offer me the victory and a special thanks to John who gave me the final motivation boost 8 kilometers from the finish.
