same road profile/race on time trial and omega with t.martin beat t.martin by 1min and few seconds?
Simple: in ITTs it's all about maintaining constant speed, in TTT you have to do some intervals with taking turns, then going to back of group, again accelerating to catch the last wheel, sticking to it and again. Also in TTT Martin led OPQS only for some part of race, rest was covered by worse TTs Wink

Well, all I have to say is that Martin is by far the best time-trialist around, and he may be able to beat Spartacus's record if he wants to in the next couple of years... Really great result from Kiryenka, shame he can't ride for himself at Sky, and from Quaade. I'm surprised about Nelson Oliveira's 15th position, he's been shite all year, and hasn't improved since last year, perhaps this is a sign that things will change in the future, who knows... at least he may get a contract, even if it's from Caja Rural, which would be nice for him imo.

Who cares. Win one, win a second to show it's not a fluke, anything else is not going to mean a thing

Anyway, this year's guy who withdraws days before the race because he realizes he's too tired to compete is...

Until you get to a massive number anyway. 8 would be pretty incredible.

Not really because, although technically Cancellara is the record holder with 4, in practice Anquetil has 9

It was the most famous and prestigious one, but I'm not sure the GP des Nations was meant to be a World Championship. :-/

Hmm. Seems to be that Cance is the favorite for the WC RR ahead of Sagan. I highly doubt the intelligence of these bookmakers...

Yup, he was done since 5th,6th stage of Vuelta and never recovered. At least some riders are actually tired after the season (brutal TdF in his case), it makes them look a bit more human.

König also out, so Styby is the only well known rider left. Hunal will replace Kreuziger, i bet some people here know him, thanks to Valvs story. Grin
I'll be back

Bookmakers aren't crazy. They just don't make their own predictions and let the quotes depend on how people are betting. This way, they always win.
