And Jesleyh, you're doing a 1-2-4-5-6 and telling me you're not good enough for extreme? I find the challenge really intriguing, after I played with Saxo Bank and won 4 GTs in a row (after signing Nibali). That was on hard, though.
And finally, as requested, here's my squad:
Biggest talents are Harry Kraft, David Hönerbach, and especially Jan-Hendrik Feibig, who looks like he could turn into kind of a mini Sagan.
I'm only at the Vuelta al Tachira yet, with Gerdemann in mediocre shape. It's really interesting to ride against all those rather unknown teams and riders, and really challenging since the field is so levelled. I just fell from 6th overall to 19th in one stage, but there are still two or three mountain stages to come. I hope for a Top 10, I'll keep you updated.
Nice team! A little bit stronger than mine, though, I have more talent(though if I look at the potential stars, I'm sure my team won't produce a superstar either )
Promoting is a serious possiblity. Also, do you hate the 60 skills(f.e. hills skills for your sprinters) as much as I do?
That's why I edited mine away for realistic ones before I started, my sprinters can actually take hills okayish IRL, it's really annoying...
And at the 1-2-4-5-6, I was building a nice sprint-train. Perfectly launched, then I noticed, that only 1 opponent was sprinting. Piece of cake
It was ridiculous, which idiot places a IS 100m from the finish

As I wrote above, I only signed free riders and neo pros (except Markus Fothen). Unfortunately, that doesn't apply for Herklotz, but be sure I'll try everything as soon as he's on the market
@ Jesleyh: Thanks. I know, especially with Gerdemann, that team could do some serious damage in the .2 races, and promotion wouldn't be the worst But I'm still finding my way with extreme difficulty, so we'll see.
And about the 60s stats, I find it rather interesting. I think of the stats now as a 0-25 scale. Plus, I really, really didn't want to do so much editing

So after the succes in E3 and G-W, I failled misserably in RVV and P-R...
Those races are indeed a lot harder than the other cobbeled races.
Just did Amstel Gold race, wich was a huge succes actualy, managed to do an 1-2 with Visconti and Valverder also Quintana finised in the top 15.
(And yes I actualy switched to hard as sugested) |

Hey guys. Im new on this forum.
I have a Q.
At the start of the new season im 30 000euros over my salary budget. My cash balance is 300 000. That meaning that i will be down 60 000 at the end of the year. I would also like to have a couple of coaches and scouts(thats not happening).
So my question is. How big of a deficit can i take in a year without not being able to play more on this save? And will i bring a deficit with me for the next season?

I'm rolling nicely with my columbian team, Bancolombia Cycling Project.
My leaders are Betancur, Henao and Duarte. The season is rolling really nicely so far, I'm in July at the moment, preparing for the NCs. My main results so far:
Betancur:
2nd in MSR
5th in LBL
6th in Pais Vasco
3rd in P-N + the white
2nd in Fléche
8th in AGR
Won Langkawi
Henao:
3rd in the Giro
5 in Romandie
10 in the Dauhiné
7th in Catalunya
3rd in Trentino
Won GP Miguel Indurain
Duarte:
7th in Suisse
4th in Tirreno
2nd in Langkawi
16th in TdU
6th in ToC
3rd in Mallorca
I'm really enjoying this career, it's fun to play with these guys. So far we're performing way above the expectations, I'm proud of the team.

Hey. First of all, welcome to the forum.
To answer your question: Theoretically, you can play as long as you want, with as many debts as you want. The problem is, that once you're running a deficit, you're no longer able to sign new riders or prolong current contracts (or you can only offer 2k, I'm not entirely sure here).
So that means you should only hire staff that over the 12 months costs as much as your current budget (bear in mind that you have to pay the staff 2 months signing bonus).
But: I don't know if you've already found out that you can negoiate your sponsor goals (Sponsor -> sponsor name). If you set yourself higher goals in the given races, your sponsor will increase the budget, thus allowing you to hire riders/staff.
Hope this helped

Took Bardiani to Strade Bianche race looking for a top 10 finish.. the BoTD got out to about 5 mins with 60km to go, and then the peleton accelerated, It was almost impossible to keep up with the crazy high tempo being set. The BoTD was caught and Rebellin took off for the solo win. Pirazzi attacked with 10km to go and managed a respectable 5th place finish... First sponsor goal accomplished!
The following day saw us compete in the Roma Maxima Classic. At the start of the climbs the BoTD had 6 min lead, and we sent Bongiorno up the front to do the pace makiing. By the top of the first climb, we had lead down to 2 mins. As we wheeled the break in on the last climb, Pirazzi accelerated and built a strong lead in the final decent! The Victory looked certain, but on the flat the 17 man break behind worked hard to wheel him in.. Pirazzi started the final sprint with 30 sec lead, and Paul Voss chased hard!
In the end Pirazzi held off by about a bike length for his first win of the season! the top 18 riders got the same time, and another 100-200 metres would have seen us lose the race! Sponsor objective 2 complete!!
Now the hardest 2 objectives of our season! A stage win at Tirreno - Adriatico and a top 10 at MSR.... i would be happy with 1 out of 2 for those objectives! |

First cobbled classic done, E3. Got eighth with Offredo after Gaudin just got caught the wrong side of the key split after the Kwaremont. Gilbert outsprinted Boonen for the win?!
Also got Coquard 11th and Gaudin 14th, which is pretty good for a Pro Conti team I think. Gent Wevelgem next, hoping for a good result for Coquard or Demare, while Coppel goes for a top 3 in Critérium International. |

I don't know where exactly you struggle but I explained all that recently so let me quote myself

2. Right click the downloaded file
3. Point at 7-zip, then select "extract here"
This is how you start the editor:
1. Go to the extracted folder
2. Double click on LachisEditor
This is how you edit:
1. Click the star
2. Click "extract cdb"
3. select your save *
4. do the editing
5. click the star
6. Click "export to cdb"
7. Give a file name (do not overwrite your save in case you messed up)
You can then select and load the newly created file in the game

In my career, Argos is targeting Andre Greipel and Kittel's contract does not expire for another year.
Argos should focus on grabbing some riders that can get high placings on mountain stages... last in CQ among top tour teams in June. |

Started my 2nd season with IAM after gaining promotion. Though I had to restart in 2013 as I had the specialization bug.. so no improved riders as I was too lazy to edit them
Signed Albasini, Majka, Matthews, Petit and Moser. Don't have money for a superstar, but a very young team with a bright future
But I switched to hard after promoting was too easy on normal. And well hard is really hard for me
Playing P-N and T-A currently, without a chance for GC, but made a few podiums on stages with Haussler and Löfqvist. Cav won every single mass sprint by 3 bike lengths or so, even when he starts his sprint from 20th position or so
Only win so far is a stage in TDU. Hope to finish the season somewhere near 10th place and then sign a GC contender. Although Schelling seems to have some sick potential with still 5 stars left in MO after improving already to 71, so I might build a team around him |

Quick random question that probably doesn't warrant it's own thread: what factors influence the "maximum salary the directors will allow" for a rider? I am looking ahead to next season and the current amount is not enough to re-sign my best rider despite his success, what can I do to get them to allow me to sign this rider. FYI I have plenty of salary "cap" room. |

My succes in the hill clasics keeps going on...
(Herrada was the last of the break, wich the favourits got at the beginning of the last climb)
To be honest, Fleche Wallone has always been an easy race, due to the non selectif route..

And again the doubble, this time in Liège
The plan was to lead out Valverde, but in both Amstel and Liège, Visconti was to fast to get out of his wheel... |

Why is Visconti 80 HI? Did he develop that fast?

Small update on my LKT career:
After that ridiculous victory at Algerie, which didn't give me satisfaction at all(I was almost the only one sprinting, read a few posts back to know more ), things got normal again.
Still, some nice results!
At Tour d'Algerie, after wearing all jerseys because of that ridiculous victory, I managed to grab a 4th spot in the GC.
Then, in both Tour of Bilda & Circuit des Ardennes, I managed to get the KoM jersey.
Circuit des Ardennes actually was a GC(Top 10) sponsor goal, but the field was too strong, so I figured that the KoM jersey would make the sponsor happy as well, and sent my leader(69HI, Vasyliv) in the breakaway at the stage with the most KoM points.
Also, Willwohl gave me a few podium spots in other April stages, but nothing special.
It seems that almost every result makes the sponsor happy. They even appreciate a Top 25 in a .2 race. Well, guess that's the plus of being a tiny CT team with a tiny sponsor
Happy sponsor means more money next season. Looking forward to that, maybe I can give promotion a shot next year.
But now, I'm 85th in the CQ ranking. That is still above average, though

Yes, I always play with random potential, so he apperently got a high number, and there is a "hidden" stat I thought wich could accelerate devellopment.
And ofcourse a good coach always helps
And no I did not edited this, just a luckey shot I guess
@Jesleyh
Looks like a nice career you have going on, hope things will turn back to normal for me too.

I am busy with a career with Cannondale, and it just seems like real life! Sagan is missing on all the classics from the WT. (was aiming for LBL, but got second.) Came top 5 in all the classics, except for PR (there he came 6th)
And wins almost all semi-classics , Really eager for next season, to improve this!
Best performance from the other riders where i think Caruso 6th in GC and a stage win in Pais Vasco. And Basso top 10 GC in Paris-Nice. |
