Aaarh, so this is why people were saying Quintana came out of nowhere:
Now I'm not going to say that I definitely know that Quintana is clean, but as we've already covered in this thread, he's not a nobody and has definitely produced enough results to 'justify' a win in Pais Vasco without being called a doper (almost) on TV.
While we know Quintana is not coming from nowhere, i am quite glad that commentators of the cycling coverage are actually able to speak about doping and have their doubts. Because what i hate about 99% of commentators and cycling journalists, is that they are acting like there is not and never was doping in the sport.
I think for example possible talking about doping during last years TdF would be spot on.
But of course they should know what are they talking about...

I agree we could use more "open talk" about doping, but this was just the wrong example (or at least the wrong arguments). Blame Quintana all you like, but saying he come from nowhere is just a sign that you didn't do any research at all.
Edit: And that's exactly what we don't need. If you want to accuse and question anyone, make sure to have your facts straight.

I agree completely, as i said, this was the bad time to start doubting, as Quintana is well known talent for people who actually know more about the sport. There is maybe dozen of better spots per year, when to start rising doubts.
