First time I've ever seen Valverde work for a temmate at "club" level*
It's not that he won't do it, it's that he's never been in a position to.
*For Spain he always works for whoever the team leader is. He lead out Freire a few times for example.

Valverde should be able to close a lot of that gap on the descent, then they should be able to catch him on the false flat, if they co-operate. Surprising to see Schleck go for it on the descent, thought he might wait for Danielson, but then there would suddenly be only 25 seconds back to Costa's group. |

Mollema joins the Gesink group, more bad news for Schleck.

The descent doesn't look very tough, the riders can clearly see most corners in front of them so don't think Frank will lose all his advantage.. |

Why are Costa and Valverde taking turns on the front instead of just Valverde?

Schleck looks calm and collected. Can he make it to the finish on his own? He seems to be riding well enough as yet.

Anyone else getting the feeling that Schleck is giving this race everything because the Tour doesn't suit him?

"The gap of Schleck (RNT) and the yellow jersey group shrunk to 22 seconds." from official ticker so the attack is pretty over.

You have to admire Schleck for having a go, he had the others in trouble during the last climb.

Well, he had to tire them. Now he has to attack again on the not so difficult final climb.

Well, i don't really see Costa drop on a cat 2 climb, and with the break still in front, this race is basically sealed.

What Valverde's doing makes me want to tweet Horner to say "if he can work for others why can't you"?
Reminds me of when Contador worked for Leipheimer in 2008. Or when Wiggins worked for Porte last February. Or when Andy worked for.....uhh......
