I wonder how comfortable Hoogerland can be sitting on the bike after seeing those cuts. Luckily there is a rest day but I'd imagine it will be hard for him to continue as those cuts probably aren't the only place that is a bit sore at the moment
Hoogerland, what a fighter. He became one of my favourite riders today. Hope his injuries doesn't force him out of the Tour. I would really like to see him winning the KoM jersey.

It was a really dangerous move for the riders but if the driver wouldn't turn right he would've hit the tree and this could've ended more badly. Anyway, hats off to Hoogerland.
The issue really is not what the driver should have done in that situation. It was instinct, however wrong you may consider it to be. The issue is why the driver was attempting to pass so dangerously at that time - and that's what needs to be addressed.
I have a lot of respect for Hoogerland today, mostly because of what he said in the interview, given the pain he was in.
Hoogerland's interview after the race shows the kind of guy he is, I admire Hoogerland greatly, most poeple would have ran their mouth about the incident, but he stayed calm, accepted it was an accident, which should have been avoided and is willing to forgive, of course the people in the car will be distraught he knows that. Very nice bloke came through in that interview. But I would still expect the team to take action of some sort if their rider can't continue.
I thought it was motorbikes that carried the cameras, and that choppers and planes relayed the signal.
What was a TV car doing there in the first place ?
