don't know what i think really. Ulissi did drift over but Visconti chose the wrong path.
there is no excuse for the push and that should be punished but seeing as he's the Italian champ it won't be. the UCI will just play it down and ignore it. |

Visconti had the time to decide to go on the right, it was his call and he made the wrong one. Once he realised he couldn't pass Ullissi he started pushing to make it seem like Ullissi was closing the door by almost pushing him of the bike. A bit like Chaannel chose the wrong side in Flanders but Sylvain is gentle enough to stay calm. Normally Visconti should be out the giro by now, but They couldn't make that call because he's Italian champion and number 150.

This. That was just as serious as Renshaw's headbutts. At least he should have been fined if they don't have the guts to DQ the Italian champion. He could have caused a serious crash had he made Ulissi fall. |

It was at least same dangerous as Renshaw heabutts..he was usuing he's hands..and pushed Ulissi other side of the road.
Renshaw DQ was strange decision anyway. |

I think Renshaw's was worse, but I wouldn't have minded seeing Visconti DQed

Game..how many lies you can find on this:
“I shouted at Ulissi ten times to let me pass because I was going at twice the speed, but he closed me in against the barriers and I hadn’t raised my arm I would have fallen, |

Renshaw's was in part worse because they were riding in the front of a whole peloton, so the crash would have been more serious had it happened. But Visconti used his hand to push Ulissi (a much stronger push than Renshaw's headbutts), so I think his maneuver was more dangerous by itself, while Renshaw's even if the decontextualized action wasn't as dangerous as this one, doing that with 190 riders follwing you at 50 km/h is extremely irresponsible. |

They (we) are all feeling emotional when one of them dies or gets seriously injured, as happened recently. Yet they don't mind risking to seriously harm one (or many) of their fellows, for a (mere) victory.
What sense does it make ? |

My view of the sprint yesterday was that there wasnt enough room to begin with and even if Ullissi moved a little bit it didnt change weither if Visconti would have had enough room or not. Also there was a small turn at the end and Ullissi adjusted his path a little bit for that turn i believe.
It was bad by Visconti and he really put Ullissi at danger. There is no excuse and the whole situation was 100% caused by him.
I expect another break to make it to the finish today. The favourites got two tough stages after this one. They should switch to cycling on eurosport soon so we can see who is in the break.
Edit: Just saw Visconti apologize in the pre race interview. Made me respect him again.

Yes, it was good to see Visconti apologize.
There's still no breakaway established with 66 km to go. |

They have ridden incredibly fast so far, they've done the first 90 kilometres on an average speed just below 55 km/h. That's fast
