Hi all friends!
If you want to change the type of a road: template, number of lanes... can you edit several points at a time, or you have to change one by one? I know that exists spline but it changes the totally of the stage main road...
Thanks in advance!

Spline is always for the whole road.
Easiest way is to have more than one road on your route.
I always do original roads in my stages. So many crossings there. Then spline isn`t for the whole route but just for this road.
Example: You ride on the B123 and then turn right on the B34. Instead of continueing the road you stop or go into nowhere and start with a new road.
Makes it also much more playable. |

I know this has most likely to have been asked before, but how do you change the weather, wind strength, etc?
Thanks in advance!

You could edit this parametres in the database when you have created your race on it. |

Hi. Roturn advised that to make a right turn on a stage, I needed to add a new road that crooses the original at right angles. However, when I check the stage I get a 'road overlaps' error. How do I rectify this ? |

road overlap means normally that you have 2 very close waypoints. You should jump to this error and check the points there. |

You just put the start and finish line really close together. I try to put the white line in the exact same spot.

Theres 2 ways really
1 - Carefully line them up as Valverde says
2 - Take a short road out from the circuit, and put the start on that

I have another 'bad route slope' issue. I'm trying to recreate stage 12 of the 2011 Tour de France. I've imported my gpx file from bikeroutetoaster and have got a brilliantly accurate map. I spend a bit of time to ensure my road follows the exact same mountain route on the Hourquette d'Ancizan and the Tourmalet. This done, I error check it and end up with loads of bad route slopes. I know what this means (+/-25% slope) but would like to know if there is any way to individually edit the slope of a piece of road, ideally between waypoints? That way I could have the exact road, combined with the exact gradient.
Thanks! |

You can`t really have the correct roads as the game scales 1:10. So you might have to do it as similar as possible.
On flat parts it doesn`t feels very good if the camera is moving from side to side if you have to many corners. |

Hi, could someone look at this route and tell me why I get a 'route is bad' error ? Thx, regards Jaywol.
Jaywol attached the following file:

How do you get rid of the flat bit in turns on mountains? There is a little flat bit right where the waypoint is, and it is "ruining" my stages! |

Looks like it has better slopes than the one made earlier tough.
I see there are some flat turns on almost every profile. It's quite easy to avoid such flat turns. On the road point there are two arms going to each side. Click on one of these arms and adjust it up or down. Then the turn wont be that flat as you see on the profiles.

Made a fantasy TDF stage from Gap to Pelvo d'Elva (climbs of Agnello + Pelvo d'Elva). Worked out all the problems with the bad route slopes etc.
When I go to PCM to play a single stage, it just crashes as I select the stage. Not sure if the mountains are too high for the profile or what it is?
Here are the files..

Does it crash when you want to view the profile? If that's the case, it's because PCM can't locate the file = you typed in the wrong file name or didn't move the stage files to the CM_Stages folder.
Also remember to include the .cds file. |
