Kudos to Vino, until he tests positive.

[quote]"It was pretty harsh," Weylandt said afterwards. "I had the feeling towards the end of the stage that Greipel wasn't going very well. I thought he had combined something with [stage 2 runner-up Matt] Goss, and I anticipated it. Goss changed his direction. I followed him because I suspected Greipel would leave a gap to let his leadout man go. That's how I touched Greipel's wheel, but it was just a normal move."
In the interview the expression he used was "fuck me". The interviewer then had to explain him she couldn't really translate that to italian... Priceless
Way to go Vino. First Trentino, then Liège, now the Giro, next... lifetime ban.

Words cannot describe how retarded these stages have been.
This is why I hate dangerous flat stages. They add absolutely nothing at all whatsoever except arbitratily crashing people.
Next time let's all stay home and throw darts at a board full of riders' names and say "you. broken collarbone. you. 50 second time loos. you. mangled face."
Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded Retarded
Well one could say that the good riders with good teams stay on their bikes and don't lose time i windy flat stages. Case in point Lance Armstrong.
Should the GTs just be mountain stages and time trials then? |

The emphasis for issoisso is on "dangerous flat stages". I'm pretty sure that he doesn't mind flat stages at all. |

Well i feel those have been good stages, they are maybe a bit dangerous, but a least something has happened on them, where normal flat stages are the most boring things in the world |

Sure, because winning the Giro d'Italia makes him more credible than not winning it. If he comes nowhere in GC then, well, he simply must be doping, but if he's victorious then of course he's clean. I like the logic. But anyway, enjoying living in your own fantasy world.

Surely a doping thread pinned would be enough.
The doping forum on CN is one reason I hate that place.

I hope Vinodopourov will win, just for the sake of all the hypocrits posting on all these cycling message boards.

Okay the TTT tomorrow. Should be a close one, I don't think the time gaps will be huge and hopefully the few teams with riders short shall not be too disadvantaged though not having Vandevelde cannot be good for Garmin.
With that in mind, I think Sky have to be favoured to win, with Astana and Liquigas up there as well. |

I have to say, I don't think I've understood more than 4 of ruben's posts. Ever.
As to the TTT, I think Liquigas will be top 2. Either way, I think the top 4-5 teams will be within the minute of each other easily. And you can bet that Colnago, Footon, et al will all be about 20th.

Well I think Garmin is still a favorite, because it's the occasion for Millar to get his third gt leader jersey, and I don't think he wants to miss this.
I'd say 1.Garmin 2.Liquigas and 3.Sky
The Liquigas guys really impress me so far... but I agree with Smowz, gaps won't be huge, for sure. |

i also think that garmin won't miss the chance to wear the "pinkolada" jersey. curious how much time Mr. Evans and Sastre will lose. |

Don´t you think that Columbia may do a very good TTT? |

Of course they can, but Greipel seems to have lost his tour of Turkey form, Rabon doesn't look really better neither, I'm afraid Pinotti will be a bit alone... so I'd bet on a top 5 for them with no problem, but Liquigas and Sky trains impressed me much more.
