Our Team
The Favourites
*** Damiano Cunego (Radio Shack), Philippe Gilbert (Dexia), Roman Kreuziger (Movistar).
** Thomas De Gendt (Radio Shack), Ben Hermans (Astana), Joaquím Rodríguez (Katusha).
* Simon Gerrans (Dexia), Jelle Vanendert, Giovanni Visconti (Katusha).
Our Goal
Difficult one. We for sure aren't the favourites for this race, both Radio Shack and Dexia are. Let's hope to profit from them doing the work. SO a top 5 would be great!

Crap, almost finished the report, and suddenly....... gone. The entire explorer-screen was gone. I really don't know what combination of buttons I pushed, but it was all gone. Only had to write the "word from the DS".... SO no new report, just a summary:
- BOTD with Voeckler, Hivert, Joaquím Rodríguez, Slagter and M. Garcia, max margin 4 minutes.
- Philippe Gilbert attacks at the foot of the final hill, but gets countered by 2 team mates (Cobo and Gerrans). STrange!!!
- All are caught with 13km to go, due to the work of Thomas Dekker.
- Gilbert, Van den Broeck, Cunego and Kreuziger attack with 6km to go.
- All have to make a sprint way too long, with 1500m to go, Rojas is about to overtake them, with Vanendert in his wheel.
- Vanendert is overtaking Rojas, but then Giovanni Visconti storms through the middle.
- Visconti wins the Clásica San Sebastián, with Vanendert in 2nd and Heinrich Haussler in 3rd.
Results
1 | Giovanni Visconti | Katusha Team | 5h59'33 | 2 | Jelle Vanendert | Petronas - Monster Energy | s.t. | 3 | Heinrich Haussler | Radio Shack - Nissan | s.t. | 4 | Thomas De Gendt | Radio Shack - Nissan | s.t. | 5 | Damiano Cunego | Radio Shack - Nissan | s.t. | 6 | Nicolas Roche | Radio Shack - Nissan | s.t. | 7 | Dario Cataldo | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step | s.t. | 8 | José Joaquín Rojas | Movistar Team | s.t. | 9 | Ben Hermans | Pro Team Astana | s.t. | 10 | Philippe Gilbert | Dexia | s.t. |
The Winner
Word from the DS
Well, it was fun to see both Dexia and Radio Shack totally messing up their chances to win this race
Anyway, a 2nd place is a great result, too bad we missed the win now 2 years in a row.

July review
Summary
Not a bad month for us: 2nd in San Sebastián, 3 stage wins in Qinghai Lake and 4 stage wins, the points ranking, the KOTM ranking and of course the GC-win for Robert Gesink in Le Tour!
Media awards
There's no doubt who is the rider of the month when you win 2 stages and the GC in the Tour.
Rankings
World Tour riders
The 3rd place in the Tour gave Alberto Contador enough points to take over the lead of the WT ranking riders. Wilco Kelderman is in 2nd and Andy Schleck still in 3rd. Nibali and Gesink have improved to 4th and 5th.
World Tour teams
Petronas - Monster Energy and Radio Shack - Nissan remain in 1st and 2nd, with Movistar now in 3rd.
Continental Tour riders
No changes in the CT-riders ranking, although Daniele Callegarin has extended his lead.
Continental Tour teams
Team Type 1 is back in the lead, closely followed by La Française des Jeux, with M&M's still in 3rd.
CQ ranking riders
Alberto Contador also leads the CQ-ranking, with Wilco Kelderman in 2nd and Vincenzo Nibali in 3rd.
CQ ranking teams
No surprise, but petronas - Monster Energy has collected the most points. Radio Shack in 2nd and Movistar in 3rd.
Wins riders
Tom Boonen hasn't won, and has to share the lead now with Alberto Contador with 11 wins. Cavendish and Dumoulin follow with 9 wins and Wilco Kelderman with 8.
Wins teams
8 wins for us in July, so now we share the lead with Team Sky with 30 wins. Movistar is in 3rd with 25.
As promised, because of the great Tour and the wins in Qinghai Lake, 2 times the most beautiful Monster-babe Dianna Dahlgren!

That's a nice tactic move to write something in story-thread right after stage . |

Won't Andy Schleck be removed from the Rankings? |

Yes, I've already said. But Dienblad says that the ASO and the UCI are a little bit slow.

@ Ian & mrUfo87: Too be honest, I really don't know how to do this. Maybe I should just delete him out of the game....

4 new trainees
The team has signed 4 trainees, that start with the team at the 1st of August. As our sponsor wants more Asian and Pacific riders, 3 of them are from Australia, China and Malaysia. The last one is a Dutch puncheur.
Nick Bose
Nick is a future stage racing star, kind of the new Cadel Evans. In a few years time, he'll show his full potential!
Anuar Jamal
The team is pleased to have signed the biggest talent of Malaysia, Anuar Jamal. This 20-year-old puncheur can do great in hilly terrain.
Bai Jian
Another stage racer, but this one is from China. Bai Jian will be great when the road is arising, but will lack the TT-quality. Still a great addition to the team!
Teo van Vliet
And last but not least, this years Liège-Bastogne-Liège U23-winner, Dutch Teo van Vliet.
