not really. the goalkeeper looked like he was watching butterflies flying past or somesuch.

there goes Kopenhagen's "let's camp inside our penalty area the whole game".

hopefully it's the start of a large rout Smile

Or not...and now Adu enters...at 38th minute...

internet went ka-boom so I changed to the Benfica-Kopenhagen game.

Benfica have this sewn up, considering FCK won't be able to play defensively at home.

well, they can, but only if they somehow manage to score early.

EDIT: also, Everton have finally found the money and have paid Manuel Fernandes' 9 million euro release clause.

the everton fans all over message boards are going insane right now.

here's a gem from Gary Lineker Grin

"Well done, good starts for Keane and Sven, who if he keeps this up, just might be in line for the England managers job"

Roy Keane - the saviour of football?

"If I ever dived my family would disinherit me"

And now he's campaiginng against the soft players who let their WAGs shopping preferences dictate their club. Good on you Roy.Smile

yeah just heard that on SkySports news (WAGs part)GrinGrin

plus Carragher has said he is definatley quitting England, probably Sven's fault as Carra hated playing anywhere other than centre-back, and i don't think Sven ever put him there

and Chelsea have rubbished reports from Spain that they have agreed a deal with Sevilla for Alves

also, Mark Delaney has retired due to injury. this happens a lot in england due to the highly physical game. it's a shame Frown

yes heard that this morning, O'Neil (Villa managerWink) said he tried everything to get fit again and to be able to play agin, but nothing worked, so he felt he had no other choice really

meanwhile, Villa fans are staging a revolution about O'Neill selling Steve Davis

I agree. he was the most talented player the squad had.

but we all know O'Neill doesn't like players who can actually pass the ball Pfft

see his Leicester and Celtic teams

Addy291
i personally think O'Neill is a great manager and has turned Villa into a very good squad, they have Agbondlahor (sorry but thats a weird name, can't spell that) Care, Young, Reo-Coker, Carson, and soe guys i've prbably forgotten

anyway the moral of the story is they will be fighting for a place in Europe

of course they will. with that gigantic budget, they have to.
and O'Neill is a good manager.

just can't spot talent.

Liverpool have confirmed that Steven Gerrard has broken the toe he injured against Toulouse on Wednesday.

The Reds skipper was forced off during the UEFA Champions League win in France and scans have now revealed a hairline fracture.

Gerrard will play with the injury against Chelsea on Sunday, but he will then be required to rest for at least seven days - which rules him out of England's friendly with Germany.

so Gerrard is playing against Chelsea but can't play against Germany okaaay. at least this means someone else can play but still a big blow
