I heard the scream and immediately went back to the firefox page with the video and thought "Kristoff probably finished in a decent position"

What a though race! Kreder completely blew up trying to follow Sicard. He finished behind the peloton even!
Everything shattered, man this will be hard race. The best riders will win. And I have absolutely no doubt left that guys like Hagen don't stand a chance.
I even doubt Gilbert has anything to do here. Expect the better climbers over the explosive guys here. |

Agreed. That, plus the fact that the belgian team is always divided.

..This is why these World Champs people have been looking forward to, it's the course, it's the best one since a long time ago.

Very good ride by Sicard. Deserved vitory, no doubt. Just too bad Kreder couldnt follow on the first climb. Had he been able to hang on to the second climb he'd had a good shot at a silver medal... Still a very good race by him though.
And about the route, it's as said, indeed very very hard. From Dutch perspective, this should suit Gesink (remember his attack on the top of the Keutenberg in the AGR where I believe only Kroon followed and later Ivanov. that could be a very good move on this route as well) |

In terms of Italians i'm starting to lean away from Ballan... I don't think Basso will do anything either... i doubt he'd want to work for Cunego unless they settle there differences...
For some reason i just have this vision of Joaquim Rodriguez getting away and winning it... or if its wet Sammy on the descent off the first climb...
I can only really see a spaniard or a Italian winning this one to be honest...

After seing this race every hope of Breschel repeating last years performance is gone, simply to hard for him. best danish shot for a top placement is Chris Anker Sørensen if you ask me, he is stronger on the hills than Fuglsang and he has better endurance and recuperation.

Thinking my country Norway has very little chance tomorrow, maybe Arvesen or Nordhaug can get top 30. The course is too hard for Hushovd and Boasson Hagen |
