Because Mike isn't around so we have a week of gleeful fun with no one with really any power to stop us (SN won't ban anyone unless they make fun of the British, and I'm not sure if any of the other admins have the power to ban people...)

Or our republican congressmen.....

(don't get me wrong, I hate both the democrats and the republicans, but I find the republicans funnier when they bang there secretaries or Argentinean mistresses)

yea yea haha, I just remember everyone saying how great Edwards could have been as a Pres/VP. Oh well. It's probably the French's fault Smile

Jan Bakelandts says he's never even spoken to Columbia. Has several offers but is most likely to join Lotto.

It's ALWAYS the fault of the French. We can even bring this back around to cycling...

If not for the FRENCH guy Hinnault making Greg Lemond wait in the tour... the US would have another Tour victory. DAMN FRENCHIES!

And on topic... transfer wise is all we know for sure about Radioshack:

Lance
Levi
Paulinho

Am I the only one who'd expect a few more riders to be strongly leaked by now?

Philippe Gilbert was for some reason racing the Oslo GP yesterday with Armstrong. Maybe he is talking to Radioshack, isnt he unhappy at Lotto?

He was there because he is one of Thor Hushovd's training buddies and Hushovd asked if he wanted to come and race there, and the money would be given to organizations to fight cancer.

If Radioshack is gonna be a ProTour team they will need a spring classics captain...

first : we are not sure they will be a pro tour team
second : why do you think about gilbert. there are more good cobblers.
btw i find it hard to believe that gilbert will ever ride for an american team

Both Leif Hoste and Stijn Devolder rode for Disco. So why is it so hard to believe Gilbert would ride for Radioshack? As a classics captain it would probably mean a good wage on a high profile team.

Silence - Lotto isn't high profile? He's not on a high wage? He's not a classics captain?

I think the answer to all three is... yes (EDIT: As in, yes he is in a high profile team on a large wage, as a co-captain). So why change to go to a team which may or may not get a pro tour license, and may or may not race the Belgian Classics like Het Volk etc.

Remember it's Lance's team, so the likelihood of him being bothered about races other than American and the Tour de France is more limited than a Belgium Classics focused team.

Radioshack will surely be more high profile than Silence - Lotto. Probably offer better wage too. At Silence they also got Hoste and Van Summeren. If Radioshack becomes a ProTour team, which it is likely they will, they will go out to get a classics captain like Disco did with Hoste. I believe Hoste was 2nd in Ronde van Vlandern in his year at Disco.

Ignoring those points, he still has a contract with SLotto, so I doubt he'll be moving anywhere this season.

not when it comes to classics.
Silence-lotto is one of the highest profiled teams for spring classics

and hoste was not under contract then/ or such a good cobbler at that time(as gilbert is now)
