then who? I can't see a real favourite.
I'd say even though he's building form gaining the "maglia bianca" is something important enough
still a big question for him are the mountains. He really cracked in TdF last year in the high mountain stages, after he wore the white jersey in the stages after the TT.
But is he a worse climber against Seeldrayers or Froome ?

If Lovkvist wins the white jersey I'll change my nickname to "I'm a pretty little fairy princess" and my avatar to a pink tutu for two months.
What I mean is, there's no way in hell he gets it.
so who'll get it, or can get it ?
Also, noted for the pink tutu

It's a very weak year, but I'd say Rodríguez, Capecchi, Seeldraeyers, Possoni, De Greef, Froome, Augustyn or Cataldo.
Barloworld guy gets it.

He's not that good at all. His chances would be slim if he was in top form. Which he isn't at all.
And he's here for a training ride and to help the team.

As I said. So, we'll have Froome in white. Mmh, that's not really cool

Even a coke taking rider would get them more sponsor attention than they've earnt so far this season...

How quickly do they sign him if he leaves quickstep, I am betting within a month (allowing for 4 weeks of contract negotiation)

Cavendish again...
i'm wondering if he'll will finnish the giro and fight for the points jersey?
I don't think so. Maybe the Tour, but not the Giro as probably he doesn't want to get tired for the Tour.
Agreed, i think he'll win all the stages he can, and then retire and get ready for the tour.
I thought that too, until I read this on cycling weekly from the man himself:
“Hopefully the next two days will be bunch sprints and will suit me and the team, so hopefully we'll try and keep the pink jersey for as long as we can. The pressure will be on because we've got the maglia rosa but we'll be trying for more, perhaps starting tomorrow. I've no plans to stop this year and so if that means going to the finish in Rome, I'll go to Rome.” |

For all those on teamspeak yesterday:
The bbc noticed it was a team time trial yesterday
Mark Cavendish became the first British rider to wear the Giro d'Italia leader's pink jersey after his Columbia team won the opening team time trial.
But the headline is slightly less team orientated:
Cavendish nabs historic Giro lead
Anyway, teamspeak again today?
