Gent - Wevelgem is a totaly different race and for Ronde you really have to be great on hills, look at Cancellara he never did a really good results there
but Hagen's not a bad hill rider - only time will tell
and gent-wevelgem is more about crosswinds and positioning than cobbling
well Cancellara won Tirreno and Milano-Sanremo and was one of the strongest riders at CSC last Tour de France so he is pretty good on hills too and still never did a notable one in Ronde. But Hagen doesn't have a lot in comun with Cancellara so as you said the time will tell also Burghardt won this and after that nothing in Ronde or Paris-Roubaix.

What does that random unverified stereotype have to do with anything? |

If Americans take the bus, how come we saw an American winning 7 tours in a row? Did he take public transport all the way? No. He rode it. Think before you post Alexis.

Yeah and we Dutch have cycling paths all over our country, we bike the most of the entire world population.
And what kind of top riders do we have? Well at the moment none! Some sub-top riders who are -25 of age, and that's it. Oh yeah and Kroon, who always has superlegs but never wins anything except Rund um den Heniger Turm. Yeah. |

I take the metro, as riding a bike on Connecticut Ave. during rush-hour is kind of hairy |

Cancellara doesn't like steep climbs (like in Ronde) at all. |
