Maybe I shouldn't had wasted a wildcard on a Grand Tour (even tough Le Tour wasn't my pick, it is La Vuelta) with the roster I have. But maybe I digress.
And since I don't participate in Le Tour, I'm not heavilly invested in the results (congrats on the stage winners though) - I'm more interested for how long Matthias Frank will hold onto the GC lead in Tour of Vancouver. Every point is valuable for me.
PS: I still feel that I'm more successful here than in the ManGame

If you only care about collecting points then you probably shouldn't have picked a GT. But imagine winning a Vuelta stage, how much it would please your virtual fans and sponsors! So for role-playing it was a good choice.

Stages 15-17 up: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread...st_1364640
Spoiler Great back to back stage wins from Cattaneo. This tour will give Credit Suisse some hope of survival. Also nice to see some other sprinters winning in the last few stages. And of course Navarro trying to salvage Liberty Seguros' tour with a stage win is also nice to see. Bardet still ahead of Quintana but there are still some heavy mountain stages left. The fight for 3rd and the white jersey is also still very open! |

I'd definitely be very happy if this was the final result. Tao not looking quite as good anymore, the white jersey is slipping away, he could easily drop out of the top 10, too. And we currently have four riders in the top 20, which is awesome, but that will probably change. On the other hand, Colombo and Peiffer could still have bad days and Tao move past them and we could even win the teams classification...

Great win by Navarro, seems like he is becoming a stage hunter par excellence. Looking at the team's activity we are trying to salvage what's possible in our first goal race of the season. It's a shame however because Navarro, VDP and De La Cruz are all doing really good, and could have wrecked some real havoc if Herrada was in shape or at least they could be in contention for Top 10 to Top 20 if it wasn't for Herrada who has lost again significant time whyever... sigh is what is.

Bardet maintains his slender lead but when he finishes in a group with Kittel it can’t have been very selective!
Getting nervous about the remaining stages which is exactly how a Grand Tour should be
Congrats to the stage winners, nice to see some good performances.
Thanks for the reports Bikex.

Another amazing performance from Cattaneo, taking the KOM lead as well, I cannot complain. There's still 3 more mountain stages to go, so on one hand he could still easily lose his jersey there, but on the other hand it also means that there are 3 further opportunities for stage wins.
In general I must say that I am very happy with how aggressive our guys are riding since about stage 10, basicslly sending someone into the break on every stage. The only downfall of this race will be a lack of gc places, but I guess you can't have it all.
Thanks for the reports Bikex!

Stages 18+19: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread...st_1364641
Spoiler Two more wins for the break, one again for Cattaneo who has the race of his life. Quintana's superior recovery seems to be deciding factor here over Bardet. One more mountain stage to go. Herrada now also began to show some life again. |

Cattenao, just wow. We needed a man in at least one of those breakaways for the teams ranking. Maybe a bit of a shame that Ruben isn't supporting Tao, he attacked him twice now. I hope he tries for the breakaway tomorrow.
On paper stage 20 is the toughest of them all and the GC still wide open. Tao dropped from 8th to 11th and moved up to 7th a day later... I hope it's going to be one of those boring stages where nothing happens.

Bardet’s poor recovery hurting him, good to see him attacking though.
He needs a +5 day on the monster stage 20 to stand a chance of finishing in yellow.
Thanks for the reports Bikex.

Herrada coming fifth in a break, so obviously still hurt otherwise he would have decimated that. Let's hope he is inspired and back at the top by stage 20. Navarro with another good stage result as well.
The GC hurts my eyes though!!

4 stage wins, 3 from Cattaneo, wow. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined to be so successful here. I know that these wins won't bring that many points in the end but they are still pretty awesome.
Cattaneo has managed to sneak into 9th and secure quite a big lead in the KOM competition as well, which is the icing on the cake so far. Unfortunately the last stage is also the toughest of the race, so both, a good gc place and the KOM jersey, are still in danger. Thanks for all these reports Bikex!

Last two tour stages up: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread...st_1364642
video for s20
Spoiler Herrada with one of the strongest performances I have seen in PCM. He basically attacked from the start and rode the entire race on the front. On the downhills sometimes another rider could catch up but once it went uphill noone could keep up. In the end he won all the mountain sprints and the stage.
Quintana again stronger than Bardet and confirming his third ICL Tour de France win. Congrats Croatia! Yates in the end taking third quite sovereign. Behind that's it's close between the next coming in. I also liked the contenders of the white jersey being competitive after it hasn't been that way in some of the last GTs. Colombo with his second U25 GT classification win. Cattaneo in the end won KoM with a good gap, nice to see. Also some of the other relegation contenders put up a fight here with Sugoi taking a stage and only losing out on the team classification closely and CCC also with some stage podiums from attacks. Only VisitUkraine kind of anonymous. Kittel on the last stage again showed that he is the strongest sprinter! |
