Smashing Win for Cav!! And a nasty smash in the last 500 meters. Collar bone i think for Nuyens landed heavily on his right hand side |

I was watching the cycling.tv streem and it cut out. I tried others that didnt work until by the time I did get it up it was too late. I caught a clear shot of the crash though (ouch) and a blurry shot of the finish.
Go Cav!

Norwegian TV is showing the Giro, and a stream for the channel: mms://straumV.nrk.no/nrk_tv_webvid03_l
It has worked perfectly all days, although it isn't the best quality. |

the commentators in belgium said they heard from the team that i could be that. its not sure though. what the hell happend
it was like somebody rode against Nuyens and pushed him out of balance

From what i saw, i thought touch of wheels/closing of gap forced one rider to back out/move across towards Nuyens, who pulled his foot out, failed, crashed, and the orginal rider to get caught up took down a shed load of other guys. Such as Tinkoff...again... i think personally, they raced far better when they were in a break every other day (ie last year)

Yeah, Tinkoff wear solid helmets though, so he'll be alright.
Actually Guido it was only Pavel Brutt, Mikhael Ignatiev and one other guy that attacked lots last year. And they took it in turns so not to die too much. Plus they won the most breakaway miles competition, and came 2nd and 4th in it. Which actually amounts to a lot of prize money, fairly useful for a pro continental squad im sure. It also ensured them a ride this year, and has gotten them a place in the Vuelta, so pretty darn effective tactic. They did more in last years race then many teams did.

The final km, thanks to rfdestroyer

In a reversal of fortunes, this time Cavendish won because of his positioning. well done.

DID YOU SEE WHAT CAV SAID!!!!!!
"In terms of the sprinters' hierarchy I reckon I'm among the best."
Yeah, Cav, I'm sure your the best sprinter in the world, far better than Friere, McEwen, Hushovd, Petacchi, Boonen. Oh wait, I guess I should stop before some nationalist brit gets on me |

What is it with people like you deadpool? Cavendish wins so you must try to provoke someone.
We all know Cavendish is arrogant, no need to go on about it every single time.

But that is just too much, it's one thing to say you are one of the best, its another thing to say you are the best |
