Went to see Kaiser Chiefs last night and I can safely say that it is the best gig I have ever seen. I'm not a huge fan of the band, I didn't know if I was even a fan, but after last night's performance, man, I'm definitely a fan...
Opening for Kaiser was a band named Dananananakroyd. 2 guitars, 2 drum sets and 2 lead vocals. 4 guys, one girl. They hail from Glasgow, Scotland. The music was terrible but they put on quite a show... If they're not gay, they are excellent actors. They split the crowd right down the middle and the first thing that comes to mind is Wall of Death of course... But no, they have a different take on it, they do a Wall of Love where you're supposed to run and hug the person on the other side... Strange fellows (like all scots )
Then came Kaiser Chiefs.
Jam packed crowd. Ricky was amazing, energetic as always, Peanuts kept his "quirky" and strange attitude and Simon sounds amazing live (best bass I've heard in a while) even though he was pretty ill. Spanish Metal as the opening song, 3 musics for the encore (Tomato in the rain, Can't say what I mean and Oh My God). The crowd response was just amazing. I got home absolutely exhausted... But it was worth it just to be in the front row.
The setlist:

1. Spanish Metal
2. Everyday I Love You Less And Less
3. Everything Is Average Nowadays
4. Heat Dies Down
5. You Want History

I know that probably most of you don't know or care about them, but anyway, here it is...
Didn't watch Eurovision since 2005 cause it's annoying: all the Sovietic countries give points to Russia, we give 12 to Moldova and vice versa etc. Talking about this with alexix and I remembered 2 great songs:
Luminita Anghel and Sistem - Let me try : 3rd place in 2005
Simplu and Andra - Dracula my Love a song that was disqualified cause a part of it was almost like an older song or something like that
And the Moldova song from 2005, a band knowk a lot in Romania as well
Hmmm...I think I resent that, but on the whole, you're right
Talking of Dananananaykroyd, they are a pretty good band, they're tipped for fairly big things. I think the album launch is in April, hopefully it's as good as the few songs I've heard.
