*Selwink - Not fit and too much to defend..
*kadtagenero - I´m happy.. .. Acevedo was the main reason why i picked Jamis..
*sutty68 - Yep, but Janier is a fighter, he will be back..
*tsmoha - Agree.. .. by kom sprint, Janier was overtaken almost by the line by some riders but he did good.

Hopefully the team has even more luck here. It's nice to see where the riders are in comparison with some real stars

Teams
Jamis Squad

Stage 1
T.Van Garderen(BMC) was the fastest with 5´51".. will he finally win the race after his 3rd place in 2011 and 2nd in 2012 ?
Jamis Squad Result

Stage 2
We lead the peloton towards Monarch Pass...
With 19kms to Int. sprint, 4 riders attack.. A.De Marchi(CAN), N.Haas(GRS), and R.Anderson(OPM) are great punchers, J.Powers(JBC) is the weakest here..
With the 20kms mark getting closer, BMC is having one hard time to close the gap.. 2´00" for now..
With 2,2kms to the finish line, J.Acevedo tries to surprise the pack with an attack..
At the front, Haas and Anderson fight for stage win and probably GC lead...
N.Haas wins with peloton on his back.. will be enought for him to take GC lead?...

I like Haas, so when JHS won't win, i can live with Haas doing so i like the small shirts added to the report and of course Acevedo attacking!

Looking forward to see the wins by Acevedo.
USA Pro Cycling Team, isn't that the future team? Almost every professional cycling team has something do to with USA.
No, I'm kidding.
S*** I made it typo! It's a disaster! |

Stage 3
It started all here... 11kms to 2nd kom sprint, M.De Maar(UHC), F.Mancebo(5HR), M.Cooke and R.Zingle(COF) formed the break today.. Mancebo wasn´t that happy with Cooke not doing much to help the pace, he attacks the group..
It has been one cat and mouse game between the break riders all the way.. now with 16kms to the last kom sprint, all 4 ride alone with M.De Maar at the front..
Almost with 5kms to the top, J.Acevedo takes the lead in the pack and starts to push hard.. some are caught by surprise and peloton stretches with Garmin´s T.Dekker trying to stick with Janier...
Still before the top, J.Acevedo attacks..
Wich made race favourites to work hard to bring him back..
... but knowing Janier has i do, another attack was expected from him.. with the kom sprint just infront and De Maar ready to get 16pts, Janier attacks again..
Janier got the 16pts but De Maar managed to get 14pts, wich will make him kom leader... at the descent, peloton catch up with Acevedo and more and more riders are able to regroup with the pack..
On that short, flat road before finish line, J.Acevedo attacks again..
.. and wins the stage... the others are just too passive..

Well played, mate! If the others "don't care", why not take a stage-win? it's been a great year for your team on home turf, which should keep the sponsors happy!

*sutty68 - Thank you mate,
*tsmoha - Thanks mate .. that´s the point .. sponsors are happy, i´m happy...
*Selwink - Thanks .. long descent and slow pace made it.. and JJ protected.. he attacked only with 1,5kms to go
Weather Forecast
Stage 4
V.Nibali rode well enought to set a new best time...
.. but T.Van Garderen really wants to win this year...
J.Acevedo didn´t had the best day and drops out from GC´s top10 with his time today.. +1´28"

Stage 5
Not having any kom sprints today doesn´t retrain M.De Maar(UHC) from attacking...
I decided B.J.Maynes should be there too, so he attacked few kms later and catched up with De Maar before the first hill..
Peloton started to chase them with one more climb to go, 6´24" gap..
At the front, Maynes and De Maar have already the climb behind them... their gap continues to drop because De Maar doesn´t do a shit.. perfect situation to have "you must relay" button.. 4´04"gap..
After just sitting around and now with 28kms to go, De Maar attacks... oh man, i really hate you now..
Thank you God.. De "sucker" Maar is caught with 10kms to go..
The teams get ready for the sprint.. J.J.Haedo follows F.Rodriguez(JBC).. BMC´s train looks strong too..
.. strong enought to shut down Haedo... no way my sprinter can get out of there.. Rodriguez is gone..
J.J.Haedo can only watch..

Evil De Maar No luck in those stages, but with Acevedo lacking the top form, it ain't a surprise. Some great shots of the scenery here though and especially loved that one (made it similar shot in my recent report, as you may notice)

*sutty68 - Its good so mate ... no need to be sad.
*tsmoha - .. Acevedo does try but like you say, his fitness(4) isn´t the best, so.... glad you like the screens mate ... i noticed yours, yes..
Weather Forecast
Stage 6
We pushed really hard up the climb but even so, M.De Maar manages to get his points... he did good.
Just like yesterday, United HealthCare and Jamis Hagens-Berman send one man in the break.. L.Euser and P.Mooney..
68kms, BMC leads the pack and drops the gap to 2´50"..
At the front, both riders work well together and keep their gap..
50kms, F.Mancebo +2´46" and R.Taaramäe +1´51" try to escape..
38kms, with Mancebo and Taaramäe close(+25" , Cannondale decides to attack with 2 men.. M.Moser +1´59" and A.De Marchi +2´06"...
Another attack... R.Anderson +1´54" wants to join the party ahead..
RadioShack gives BMC a hand...
.. and all escapees are caught with 3kms to go...
Final sprint starts.. K.Hanson(OPM) goes fast on the right... J.Acevedo fights for a good wheel..
Hanson kicked too early... F.Rodriguez with a fast sprint, Acevedo tries to follow..
F.Rodriguez wins.. 2 in a row.. Janier sprints for 5th.. well done.
Stage Top10
F.Rodriguez takes the jersey with only 1 stage to go..

It came all to a mass sprint finish... but before, with 6,5kms to go, 2nd GC placed V.Nibali(AST) and 9th placed C.Evans hit the tarmac... bad luck for them..
Final sprint..
.. with R.Navardauskas(GRS) crossing the line first..
Stage Top10 / Results
Nibali finishes 81th overall and Evans 89th..

Next race will be Tour of Alberta but i´ll post only the final results...
