I'm hating Catalunya this year... Where are the mountain stages, and very hard route??
This was clearly made for french riders, that can handle these not hard climbs and then have a descent to gain time Do you really think Catalunian organisers were thinking of how to make French riders win stages and the GC (if it happens) when they chose the routes ? |

Obviously..... I don't know
But it's a very strange route for a spanish race, that's the true

Vuelta a Catalunya is kinda funny these days, Hushovd won the first two stages, then French riders won all the stages (Dessel, Fédrigo, Chavanel today), while Pauriol is leading the general classification (he's a member at Cyanide's official forum, btw.) is that a new French Cup race or something ?
so there's a new one after Brajkovic, eh? hopefully this one will say what he thinks, unlike Brajkovic
(If you remember, Brajkovic was quite pissed when people suggested he was signing for Astana and made a point of saying it wasn't true at all. a few weeks later, he signed for Astana )
Brajkovic was a lot of fun back then. He got mad when we suggested that Disco wasn't exactly the cleanest team in the world, and he left when we suggested he would sign for Astana. |

Ciolek won stage 1 of the Bayern rundfahrt. being a great all-round rider, as he is, he was the only sprinter left in the final group of 20 or so that got over the hills. he of course won the sprint.
unlike other years, this edition is not for a time triallist. there's a mountain stage involved, for once. |

It's the Yorkshire Region Road Race Championships tomorrow
Me and my dad are off and we're riding the route the opposite way around to the real cyclists, but we're going up all the hills and they're going down them It's an 18km circuit which they ride 8 times, so it's a 144km race. It's a big turn out as well, ops:
51 riders in total doing the mens elite. Dean Downing, Tom Barras and Kevin Dawson are about the only recognisable namesops: The organisers say that Russell Downing may turn up, but his name isn't down on the startlist.

correct me if I'm wrong, but how can they only go down the hills and you only go up them, if it's a circuit?
have they finally invented the street that descends both ways? It's been a dream of mine since childhood...
