Ah, okay. Did think these stats seemed fairly realistic for the guys I know, but knowing you changed them now... What's your impression of the stats for the continental squads in the PCM France db overall in terms of realism??
Team quality isn't high, but seeing my ABUS-career I'm sure you can do well here and there if you play it smart
Hmm... Lets say the stats aren't a strong point of the DB. The amazing amount of teams & races, graphics etc. are though. You can have my .cdb if you want though, it's at least something

Thx for the offer, but I'll focus for a long time on my Team ABUS-career anyway, having huge fun with it |

Yeah, do that, the story looks really good
Also, I've got my first nice result:
4th in Tour of Eritrea! (Possoni)
Gaps were basically made on the mountain stage, and some small gaps on the hilly stage.
Also, even better! Meisen even delivered the first stage win there!
A hectic sprint with a lot of guys forced to go early, since someone(can't remember who) attacked a few km before the line. Meisen went wheelsucking, and took the right decision, since he took the wheel of the guy that got 2nd. Good guess
I discovered that the CT sprints are really open, I may get more wins than this one in them, this season.

Well, Jesley's gone for the "return Germans to the top" mode. I've gone for the French! Created an all French Pro Conti team to do some Voeckler bashing with! All of the riders are 27 and under and every rider I sign will be French, no exceptions.
Team leaders are Pinot, Demare and Gaudin, while hoping for big things from Coquard, Coppel and Offredo.
Just got 2nd in P-N with Pinot, a solid three minutes behind the Dawg. Hesjedal was the only rider who could go with Pinot's acceleration on the mtf (obviously Froome was already way up the road) but I attacked a second time and he was done. Sponsor goal #1 achieved. Hivert also won the KoM.
Some other goals are top 5 at Paris-Roubaix which might be possible if Gaudin has a good day. He had +5 at Omloop and rode Canc and Boonen off his wheel!! Top 3 at Dauphine, which Pinot will really struggle to get and then a stage win at the TDF of course.
Not sure whether to go for WT or stay at Pro Conti like Europcar do. I quite like getting just a few wildcards and being as agressive as hell in the big races. A breakaway missed is a massive fail for us. |

Sounds good
France has a strong upcoming generation as well, so you might be able to do nice things
Is the biggest goal for the team getting France a French TdF winner?

Of course but I'd quite like to win Paris Roubaix with a Frenchman as well. Coquard has some serious potential on the cobbles in my game and I think he may have a chance a couple of years down the line, maybe Gaudin aswell with a bit of luck.
As for the TDF, I doubt Pinot will ever be good enough so I need to look in the U23s I think. |

Allright, lets play a game, first guy that gets their country a TdF winner wins
Watch out, I saw a 72 MO future great guy when I took a sneek-peak in the German talents at the career start screen
Though I have to find him first, and possibly he develops in a cobbler or something ridiculous like that

I have a sneaky suspicion you play a lot quicker than I do though!
Well going through all of the riders I have again, maybe Elissonde can become good enough to win the Tour but I doubt it. I'll have to wait until the Tour de l'Avenir to see if there's any hope! |

I challenge you jesleyh I started with a custom, of course T-Mobile. I started only with free riders and neo-pros (except for Markus Fothen, but I figured he doesn't count since he retired irl ), so the team is mostly led by Linus Gerdemann and Eric Baumann. I play on extreme for the first time in quite a while, though, so I'm not sure if I'll get the results I hope for. But some of the neo pros are quite talented, so I'm really looking forward to how this develops.

I tried with TVG to get another American Tour winner with a custom team and got 3rd behind Froomebot and Valverde. In the same career got 2nd in the Giro with Hesjedal (behind Uran) and currently hold 2nd halfway through the Vuelta with Costa (behind Rodriguez).

@Brewers Maybe(though I'm going to London next week), though you are already PCT and since French has more mountain talent, you have an easier job
@Cunego Okay, we have a challenge
I play on hard, I'm not good enough for extreme
Allright, hope the neo I spot at the career start will be good enough
Oh, and of course hope I find them, there aren't a lot mountainous races on the U23 calendar, and don't have a big budget for scouting
Don't know any other guy that could get a German GT winner(at least not in PCM, boy, that Herklotz is fast, yet more of a puncheur in my game )

Alright, I'll take the challenge on but be warned, I just got a 1-2 in Paris-Troyes so, you know, boss over here. |

I just got a 1-2-4-5-6 at Tour de Algeria stage 1, take that
(The intermediate sprint was placed 100m from the finish, so I was the only 1 sprinting but 1. Oh yeah, the last 100m, everyone suddenly starts to sprint )

Guess you'll be the first guy here that'll advance to World Tour with a German team, though both Cunego and I are aiming for that

Too early to say. Both Greipel and Kittel are ending contract so, If go to WT, one of them is listed in the shortlist. |

Biggest bullshit ever just happened to me on Roma Maxima. Brought König as a leader, on the last climb of the day, he punctures. That wasn't the worst, since he started moving right at the back of the pack, he slowly was moving forward, but then he get's blocked by stupid Pirazzi who keeps pushing him back. And that wasn't the worst. He was able to re-enter the pack then. And I attacked with 10km to go, when there was about 10 rider's in front. So when he attacked, Bardiani and who exactly chased? Pirazzi. They didn't do shit, they fucked up my race and then they screw me over to work for Battaglin. Eventually König finished 14th on the race. |

Well, just to make this challenge 'official', here is my Carrefour squad in March 2013.
I'm pretty happy with the make-up of the squad, lots of different types of riders. Of the neo-pros, Duarte is a beast from Guadeloupe, just needs to work on his secondary stats, and Hay (right at the bottom) could become a future GC contender but nowhere near good enough to win the TdF, more like top ten. |

Nice team Brewers! Lots of talent
And your roster Cunego?
Btw, we can also make it just GT? A bit easier, just in case that regen I saw turns out bad

brewers, your squad is really nice. And strong. Can't compete with that
And Jesleyh, you're doing a 1-2-4-5-6 and telling me you're not good enough for extreme? I find the challenge really intriguing, after I played with Saxo Bank and won 4 GTs in a row (after signing Nibali). That was on hard, though.
And finally, as requested, here's my squad:
Biggest talents are Harry Kraft, David Hönerbach, and especially Jan-Hendrik Feibig, who looks like he could turn into kind of a mini Sagan.
I'm only at the Vuelta al Tachira yet, with Gerdemann in mediocre shape. It's really interesting to ride against all those rather unknown teams and riders, and really challenging since the field is so levelled. I just fell from 6th overall to 19th in one stage, but there are still two or three mountain stages to come. I hope for a Top 10, I'll keep you updated.
